The poem "Footprints In The Sand" is simply that it was not meant to be scriptural.

God was a human.
His name was Jesus.
And yes; God did leave his footprints in the earth; which were made by Jesus.
(Hope I didn't confuse you)

You are confusing God with Jesus.

Jesus walked the earth as a man. God has no image nor is allowed to have an image as the bible states.

God is everywhere. Jesus did the poem of walking in the sand and carrying the person...the reason for only 1 set of foot prints

Jesus was God who came to this earth and dwelt among us as a man. The story I believe you are referring to, I hope you realize is just a poem somebody wrote. Though it does have a great spiritual lesson for all of us, the story is symbolic and it is not in the Scriptures.

I assume you are refering to the story of the "footprints in the sand."? i love that little poem but it is not true. it is figurative. there are times in our lifes when it seems like God has forsaken us, but those are the times he carries us and helps us the most!

1) It's a story, not scripture...

2) ...and in the story it's Jesus who leaves the footprints, and Jesus IS God.

God is not human, though he holds an Idea of himself as human,to which we can relate. This Idea is vital and alive and possesses the truth of the creator.

That was Jesus in the story.

God is pictured as some kind of large, white, fuzzy, enormous, fatherly, brilliant, invisible kind of thing.

It's no good. I still don't get .it
