selfless things you did today?

I did a beautiful funeral/memorial service for a woman I did not know...she did not have a Priest of her own....only three people showed up, but I did my very best...
I did my wife's dirty laundry after she was at a horse-show for a solid week in Las Vegas!! :-) Phheeewww!

I let a car merge in front of me even though I didn't get an acknowlegment thank you nod or wave from the driver. I also gave someone $1.00 because they needed it. I told the person that they did not have to pay me back.

I helped a homeless one and her two kids get to a Salvation Army shelter so they did not have to sleep outside tonight. Even though my work can get very busy, I maintained a positive attitude instead of yelling and being angry at people.

I took the last shower after my teenagers...the water was not hot. ( I was not upset, and did not even say a word about it)
I listened to coworkers in a political debate instead of openly challenging their thoughts or statements. I allowed them to have their complete say that directly opposed my values and positions.

1) I was working on my assistant pastors house and he had a dump truck full of gravel coming today and he wasn't there to guide the trucker back to the back of his yard so I did it for him.
2) I'm answering questions with Bible verses and sharing the Truth with people.

I took my wife to the doctors for her appointment.
On the way home from the doctors; I took her to Subway for dinner even though I did not feel like eating a sandwich for dinner.

I gave my dog the last piece of chicken breast because he was out of dog food.
I took my boyfriend to a diner he loves but that gives me indigestion because he had a bad day today.

i listened to a friend tell me that he just found out that his 23 yr old son has cancer, and tried to help him through it.
also made sure my child that is still at home have 3 meals given to her with a smile and helped her find her first job. there are many that we do without thinking, especially if you are a parent.

yep. i took care of my animals, and i put out the recycling to be collected tomorrow. well, the recycling is a bit selfish, i guess. i'm doing my part to help the planet for myself and my family, not for everyone else. but it does help everyone, so i'm counting it. i liked the response about giving away cigarettes, too. funny stuff!
