Given that his entire life has been exposed as a fraud, what do you think the chances are that Rev. Haggard will give back all the money that he "raised" from his followers?

And it sure looks like it was a lot of money. He was driving a fancy-smancy car while dodging reporters questions on Saturday. His house looked pretty snazzy too :-) But I'm sure that can be justified, because I've been hearing from Evangelicals lately that Jesus wants us to be wealthy too. Imagine that.

Has anyone ever seen an AUDIT for that church? Just curious...

People like you never cease to amaze me.You probably have never given a dime to anyone, and the only thing you know about the Bible is your not supposed to Judge.I was not amazed at the Amish response to the person that went in their school recently and killed so many of their children.Half the people that went to that mans funeral were Amish. But your more infatuated with the bad, than the good. Are you going to give back what all you have stole from God?One day,and it's sooner than you realize,God will want you to give Him an account of how you lived your life here.

why these things happening in christianity with such regularity. does god need our money to pay his bills, if he is that powerful. i think time has come to change bible, church and jesus. christianity needs a new outlook, new ideas.

jesus wanted all men & women to be happy first. then share with less fortunate wht one has in excess. beign wealthy is no sin. did you bible say that anywhere, i dont think so. nor do i remember anywhere in bible that is written. It is not.

why the servants of god steal, pilfer money from the faithfuls. they know that for 2000 years they had done this without any hassles, so it will work for another 2000 years. because the faithfuls are fools. they do not question anything in the first place. so faithfuls deserve such treatment.

god do not need your money. but chuch and pope require your money, without which they are powerless.

christians think over it; time has come for you to take a new direction away from the charlatans.

And how did he pilfer money from his congregation? The man has sinned and lied. He made a mistake. That doesn't make his whole life a lie. And let's just play the devil's advocate here, let's say that he was a phony from day one. The bible says that many will come to God and He will say "Flee from me, I do not know you" and they will say to Him, but I've saved many in your name, yet they never knew God. That tells us two things.
1. There will be phony preachers out there who never knew God
2. These phony preachers will save many in God's name (because our salvation is based on our faith, not our preacher)
He was doing the job that he was supposed to be doing as Pastor, whether he was genuine or fake. Although he may have hurt alot of people's hearts, he didn't hurt anyone's salvation, and he certainly didn't hurt anyone's pockets. I'm pretty sure that he was paid a salary for doing his job, and that he earned, he didn't steal it.

Don't know if he will, but he should. As a Christian, I have to say he makes me sick. I know I shouldn't judge him, but it's people like him that make people think Christians are hypocrites.
