And what was built on his property after this happened?

This passage is rather obscure but I happened upon it a few weeks ago and got a chuckle out of it.

Hint: The man was minding his own business and continied to mind his own business.

I don't know if I would have been that brave, seeing an avenging angel standing there with a sword drawn and poised over MY head.

This Q is directed to you and those looking after Q&A in Yahoo.
Why 3 of my Q's has been removed???
It is all about religion and I didn't attack any person or religion!
The main subjects I discussed is trying to make some clerifications from Christians about their believes. And I was serious. !!!!!????
So, what things should I ask if I'm not allowed to talk about faith and believes in Religion & Spirtuality Forum???!!!
OR should I ask a Christian about Islam and not his religion???
I think what Yahoo is operated and rolled by people from Middle East, and third world country, the things which you write should be similar to what they believe???

Basically when it comes right down to it, I think all religion is based on some pretty common themes. I was just wondering what the rest of the world thought.

What is the REAL reason that people Do not believe in God? OR if you do believe there is a God, what is the reason you do not believe He is the God of the Bible and that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world? I am really curious to know the REAL reason.. and I am not going to comment- I am just going to read it. I feel like a lot of people on here just dont like christians- so they dont want to believe. But please tell me the REAL reason. Have I said the word "real" enough? LOL

Looking for a church, someplace which helps you become a better human being (as opposed to hating others or feuding with material science).

I know many will suggest their own church, but is there a website somewhere that compares different churches on of what kind of people attend, they key points of teachings, stance on various issues?

I've considered taking up meditation, but I don't really know much about it. They're so many different types with different types of restrictions. I don't want to get too involved with anything that would contradict my beliefs. (I don't want to say any organized religion, but I do believe in God).

Anyhoo, I would like to know if anyone here in y/a meditates, what type, and how it has benifited you in any way. The more information the better!

-Grazie!

I'm tired of these namby pamby complaints from people about how mean people are being by questioning their opinions/beliefs? Does anyone recognize the value of criticism? There are certainly opinions and beliefs I hold that are not true. I'm a human being, and this is unavoidable. If I try to insulate myself from criticism, how will I ever become aware of my errors? We don't get closer to the truth by latching onto certain ideas and protecting them. Am I alone in this view? Feel free to be as ruthless and cruel in criticizing my ideas/opinions as you please, by the way. I will be OK!

im a christian and sometime there are just unpleasant people who just realy piss me off (people i hate) and i dont decide to hate them, it's just my natural reaction (like indifrince, love, like, even happiness, sadness, anger) i dont think its a sin, i dont think is my fault, and i dont ask to be forgived for it. i usualy trust my natural distinction between right and wrong (the bible has been translated so many times, who knew what it realy said!?) i think im a good christian. i also feel like i shouldnt repent for things unless i dont inten don doing them again and i know ill still hate people tomarow. what are your oppinions on the matter?

Islam: Submission to the will of God.
Muslim: A follower of Islam, submission to God. A person who submits their will to God.

Doesn't it look like these words should be revered and respected, instead of hated? Muslims don't hate non-Muslims. Let me repeat myself. Muslims don't hate non-Muslims. I hope, I hope, I hope there will be peace some day. God willing, there will be a time when we will learn to love each other the way God intended for human beings to love one another. I am always hopeful. Please God, let there be peace some day in the world. Amen.

when he 'canonised' the Qur'an destroyed some of the original surahs? Also an archaeologist called Arthur Jeffrey apparantly discoveredQur'anic texts written prior to the canonisation, and there are differences.

As I understand it, the only people who seem to have heard of him are Christians who want to refute Islam. The only person of that name that comes up on search engines is a physicist. However, I can't find a 'coherent' Islamic respose to this. I'm not a Muslim, and if the Qu'ran was altered and edited to omit contradictory sections, I'd like to know. Alternatively, if this is rubbish, then Christianity is spreading a lie, and i dare say that Christians would benefit from knowing this. I hope that you'll all tolerate a bit of controversy in the interests of finding out the truth.

I Don't Know What to Do

I went and let the bad guys win,
Look what they did to you.
I thought I was a warrior,
Still, I failed somehow.
So tell me, what do I do now?

I thought if I did my best,
I'd never make mistakes.
I'd always win the battle,
No matter what it takes.
I keep my friends from danger:
That's my sacred vow.
So tell me, what do I do now?

Hear me silver sister moon,
Shining in the blue.
Had I wings to fly away,
I would fly to you.
But that's not what warriors do.

Maybe there's more to being human,
Than acting brave and strong.
Maybe it's listening to you heart,
And knowing when you're wrong.
It's keeping the faith and trusting
You'll come through somehow,
And maybe, that's what I'll do now.
I believe we'll come through me and you,
That's what I'll do now.

This is another one of my favorite songs, and I'd like to know what other spiritual people think of it
