Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
Ephesians 4:26
don't walk around angry all the time.anger will eat you up inside
If you let it.
[ For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. ]
Matthew 6:14-15

You are right that emotions are not sins, i.e. anger but they can lead to sin. Who even says that hate is a sin, we should hate that which is evil. For instance we should hate our sin.
But here is where you are wrong - we should never hate people. As a Christian we are to be Christ like. Jesus didn't only love the lovable but the whole world. We are to demonstrate a Godly love - unconditional. Sometimes this is a challenge but the Bible says that it is a fruit of the Spirit - this means that it becomes more and more natural as we spend time with God

God gave us free will. We are in control of our own actions even though we don't want to be. It is hard to not hate. We're are to resist the temptation to hate. The bible tells us to resist the devil and he will leave. When we allow our self to hate it is like cancer to our souls. The closer my relationship is with Christ, the easier it is not to hate. I pray that God will give me the a mind like his. When we love everyone it is hard to get irritated with them. When I have pray, I notice that I am so happy and people don't irritate me as easy. Here are a few scriptures that talk about being tempted. Psalm 51...Psalm139:23,24....Matthew 26:41..... 1 Corinthians 10:12-14....Philippians 4:8......James 4:7.....2 Peter2:9, 3:17. It is a journey, but you can do it. Because all things work together for those who follow after christ. We can become less irritated with others with God's help. God bless you and good luck on your jouney. LOL

First off, your 'natural distinction' for right and wrong is not Natural at all. That's why your parents had to teach you, and most likely why we need police I think...anyway, our 'natural' emotions/instincts would eventually have us kill over something like jelousy, slippery slope a civilization there. But we humans, besides our mighty opposible thumb, have the brilliant ability to think past our next move and be political and thusly we punish those who kill. The bible said that to hate is to kill in the heart and that is the sin. I overstand and think God's purpose in that is that to hate someone causes misdirected and hateful or more likely evil energy directed either outward or inward. Hate as a primal urge of suicide and thats why we should apologize, not only to God but to ourselves, that's my opinion.

God did not give us a trait of hate. We choose to hate. We were thought like that since we were children. Christian God is exactly like a dictator. He acts, thinks, and and looks like one. He gets pissed off. He enjoys punishing souls eternally for what they did for a moments of time. God is our role model. Do you think we hate each other and intolerate others believes because we were born that way? No every child is born pure, innocent, and joyful. But since we (mostly Christians) look up to the big man so much, we can use the excuse "hey God hates and what I am doing rightnow is hating this person because what he/she did was evil" unconsciously to justify our behavior.
We hate, get angry, become depressed because we judge. If a person stole $100 and that's all the money you have you will want revenge like hell. If the same thign happened to a rich guy, he couldn't care less. What's the difference? The difference is we give MEANING to a deed done upon us. Take away that meaning and take away that need of anything from anyone or anything and we are purely joyful. You don't want to hurt someone who hurt you because there is no ned for them not to hurt you. You don't get mad at someone who ruined your life because you have no need for them to do anything.
The God I believe in is the God that does not judge and always loves. You would say but what about justice? I would say a man does things driven by his ego (his mind) but if he does things out of his soul, he cannot hurt anyone because the soul is pure love. Once a man dies, his body and mind die but his soul lives. The soul cannot do anything wrong because the soul is perfect. The soul is always part of God and if we just listen to it, then we could truly be happy.
God is not interested in getting us back but in moving us forward. We all hurt others and don't care. Until someone hurts you the same way can you learn that it doesn't feel as good doing it to others because you have experienced it. God somehow sets up events in which you get hurt to learn how it feels like and that you will never do it to anyone again but actually apologize to your victims. To me, God is far beyond judgement of good or bad but rather loves us always, no matter who we are or what we do. And since there is no judgement there are no sins. And since there are no since there's no need for forgiveness.
And you are right. The bible has been around for thousands of years that it has likely been misinterpreted and edited. As a matter fo fact, Jesus spoke in pure symbolism and the church people do not understand it so they translate directly which does not reveal the true meaning behind Jesus' words. It's like deciphering Shakespeare. I also heard during the Roman empire, in order to keep power over us, the bible was edited from the principle of reincarnation (if we don't learn our lessons of love we get reincarnate according to New Age spirituality beliefs) to the principle of hell. We realy get reincarnated rather than go to hell in order to learn all the lessons and move on.
I hope all of this makes sense and good luck.

You can get angry with others and dislike them, it's a natural emotion, but you cannot hold onto it because hate/anger will develop into revenge etc. Simply, let it go, get over it.

God says it is WRONG to hate... not not to hate...
he says its wrong and it also says that he knows we are HUMANS and that is the way we are suppose to react...
he gives us feelings...
and u should ask for forgivness of all your wrong doings and yes hating someone is a sin...
And He understands when you ask for forgiveness
Point is...
He knows we make mistakes... and we should ask forgiveness of them

If you cannot control your emotions then you are mechanical. God did not make us like robots, we are free to make choices. Like the choice of food to eat, place to live, clothes to wear etc. The same with our emotions, likes or dislikes, love or hate, peaceful or warrior....
