Wow! Great question. I never thought about it. God could have given him one even though he wasn't born of a woman. Why not? It's not like we don't have other things/parts that have no specific requirement on our bodies (like hair on our heads).

Yes Adam had a belly button. It was an average size. It captured lint well. God didn't want Adam to have a complex about being the only man without a belly button. So of course he had one. Eve had one too. But hers was sexy. I almost feel creepy thinking about Eve being sexy. Sounds like a sin. Hmm, I seem to have issues. LOOK WHAT YOU DID!

If he didn't have a belly button, how the hell did he get here? What was he made from? He didn't have a mother? Which came first, adam or the belly button?

I wouldn't think that he did because he wasn't born of a woman. God formed him from the dust of the earth and breathed life into him. Taking this from a scientific point of view, would mean that Adam was a carbon based life form -- but then we all are.

Stop reading storeys, Adam was not a man as we are today, nor was Eve, just remember the Bible was written by men who had no understanding of what happened, or how we began, so what better way to try and explain the start of life than to write a story that people would understand

Of course he had a belly button and nipples too, do you think God's stupid or what? He made man in his own image and all men thereafter and so he started with perfection, do you really think the 'Guy' made mistakes, don't be stupid.

It is a myth.
OK now even though it is just a "Just So Story" if the great God El wanted him to have a belly button one small poke with his little finger would have done the job.

that depends on whether or not god had one--man was made in god's image, so perhaps god was born from something too and had a belly button of his own
