I Don't Know What to Do

I went and let the bad guys win,
Look what they did to you.
I thought I was a warrior,
Still, I failed somehow.
So tell me, what do I do now?

I thought if I did my best,
I'd never make mistakes.
I'd always win the battle,
No matter what it takes.
I keep my friends from danger:
That's my sacred vow.
So tell me, what do I do now?

Hear me silver sister moon,
Shining in the blue.
Had I wings to fly away,
I would fly to you.
But that's not what warriors do.

Maybe there's more to being human,
Than acting brave and strong.
Maybe it's listening to you heart,
And knowing when you're wrong.
It's keeping the faith and trusting
You'll come through somehow,
And maybe, that's what I'll do now.
I believe we'll come through me and you,
That's what I'll do now.

This is another one of my favorite songs, and I'd like to know what other spiritual people think of it

ED SNOW-of course it's a pagan reference--she was playing Xena warrior princess when she sang it!

Its really good to me. To me seems to say that true strength to walk with God comes from God and not from ourselves. It appears to acknowledges that we all try to do things on our own sometimes and think we are leaning on God/letting him guide us, even when we are not and we are really trying to carry the weight on our own. But its quite upbeat and seems to remind me that even that wont separate me from him in the long term! Its a good reminder, thanks for posting it
I dont know if this is a song written for this topic but it speaks to me about that with the bits about trying to be strong, being serious about it, but not afraid to be weak and say "I got it wrong"....

Lucy Lawless is NOT gay. She is very happily married. She describes her husband Rob Tapert, as being a man who has loved her like no other man ever has. She is a HUGE supporter of gay rights (attended & spoke at Prop8 protests) & has a massive gay following which started from her days as Xena. She is very thankful for her gay fans as they are extremely loyal & have followed & supported her throughout her career. Because of this, she often likes to spice up her live shows to give her fans a bit of a 'thrill'. She often throws in some gay inspired songs etc. when she performs her rock shows. Lucy really knows how to have fun with her sexuality on stage & the fans LOVE it!

Its ok. Never heard it but the lyrics are not bad, although Im not sure I like the negative undertones of 'failure' in it.

I wish I was a catterpillar, life would be a farce.
I'd climb right up a cabbage leaf and slide down on my A*se

" Sister" moon could be interpreted as a Pagan term by a nutcase, otherwise it is harmless.
