why can't I own slaves as Lev. 25:44 states 'Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves'? Why can't we amend the constitution to ban gay marriage and allow Canadian slaves?

I believe people are born homosexual. They cannot help it. However, I know that many of them are not glad that they are and tried for many years to be "straight". Most people want to be normal in the sense that they have children they can love and a life filled with as little grief and confusion as possible. If this is true, then why do we keep pushing for "acceptance" of homosexuality, and not seek a cure?

that we, as believers, DIVIDE ourselves using such words as "Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran, Catholic" etc. None of these words are in the bible, but the bible is quite clear on unity and division. How and why did it come to this? Why would anyone want to be known as anything other than a Christian or Believer?

id like to add to the family values question posted a little while ago.

were not talking about family values asa general term, were talking about Christian Family Values. thats what the definition really is.

i think this whole "family values" thing is an attempt to generalize something thats in fact is specific to a certain people.

so heres the question...to christians...what exactly is "family values" can you describe what these values entail? can you clairify them?
