There are of course shallow reasons to continue existing. As for real reasons, there are none. If you're not satisfied with shallow, tactile reasons, then I'd suggest departure by way of replacing oxygen intake with carbon monoxide, nitrous oxide, or helium. No conscious deaths are painless, though, so I'd suggest taking sleeping pills first. One way to achieve this would be to obtain a tank of the desired gas and inhale it through a special mask. You can obtain helium gas, but any carbon monoxide you can get your hands on will most likely be mixed with other impurities. The assistance of a friend is recommended, as you can easily knock the mask off while unconscious. Remember: Most methods of death are never completely physically painless. Even carbon monoxide inhalation via car exhaust includes lightheadedness, nausea, and sometimes even the bursting of capillaries in the face.

It sounds like you haven't seen a purpose to life, or perhaps can't seem to see any 'light at the end of the tunnel.' You haven't stated what your beliefs are, or even if you have any. Forgive me for making assumptions or generalizations but if you're like most people, you see hypocrisy in religion, corruption in politics and therefore no answer to any of the major problems with this world; never mind the smaller ones.
But please keep in mind that there is a difference between 'religion' and belief in God. And don't judge the Bible as being bad when the fault lies with those who claim to follow it.
The Bible teaches us the reason why there is so much badness, and why even good people suffer. It also teaches us that God is soon going to eliminate the badness for the sake of those who are serving Him the way He directs. The Bible teaches love not hate; peace, not violence; and humility, not pride or arrogance. If people would only follow these simple guidelines, imagine the difference that would make on this world...
Take a look, please, in your Bible at 2 Tim 3:1-5 to see that God knew that these bad conditions would exist and that the existence of these would be a sign that the end of all badness has drawn close.
Also look at Psalms 37:10,11,29 for God's promise that He is going to end the wickedness but spare the righteous.
Finally, look at Isaiah 65:17, 21-25 and Revelation 21:4 for God's purpose for the earth and for those who have His favor.
God never purposed that the world be like it is now, and he WILL change it back to the way He originally created it.

My brother recently chose death over life. It will be a year the end of next month. I still grieve everyday for him. He thought no one loved him, he thought that life got too hard to live. He didn't relize that we did love him and if he would have just opened up to us and gave us his burden we would have helped him. Just one phone call and it could have been different. I have talked to many people who have lost loved ones by them taking their own lives. It is a terrible burden on your family and friends. I understand that if your thinking about it that it must be terrible for you. BUT, you are obviously crying for some type of help...even if it is by someone on here. Please, seek it from a professional...call a friend and talk to them. Make a list of all of your accomplishments even if you don't think its important...you'll find even the smallest thing can be a wonderful thing. Your here for a reason..we all are. Seek what that reason could possibly be. I agree with the other person who wrote that you should give yourself a year. Just one year..find your reason, seek help, try to have fun doing all that you ever dreamed of, change the life you live now if you do not like it..if you can, and you can with hard work and determination...and in a year after you have accomplished what you feel you can..then if you decide...then there is nothing anyone can do. Only you can decide to change your life..no one person can do it for you. The most important thing is learn to love yourself and all you do. Some people don't think they are strong...they don't see the things that others see in them. Ask a friend, a real friend or someone you can trust...I bet they see great things in you and you don't even relize it. Good luck and God Bless YOU

The best way to "end it all" is to surrender your life to Jesus Christ and get a "new life" by asking God to give you the Holy Spirit.

Luke 11:9 And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. 11 What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent; 12 or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

When you become a Christian your life takes on a whole new meaning and eternal significance. You have a personal relationship with God your creator through Jesus Christ and you start an adventure where the good things that you do make an eternal difference.

Ephesians 2:4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ--by grace you have been saved-- 6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Not too many details here. Hard to help you. Meditate on this for four or five days without sleep. Be thinking of a reason. Sure enough you will find a good one, I guarantee it. If you don't it is because you have not meditated long enough... just keep at it.. something will come up you'll see.

there is only reason to go on if you can see reason to go on
right now that is very difficult as depression clouds our vision for any future
make a deal with yourself ... give yourself a year ( that isnt long ) ... get some medical help with the depression .. see how things look then ... and ask yourself this same question

a psychologist told my husband this ... and now my husband has such a wonderful future ... because he can see it now

lots of love to you xx

Your life is the only one you will ever have and life itself is a reason to continue on. Taking your own life would be disrespectful to the long lineage of humans who lived, mated and eventually made your life possible.

You can end it if you want but it won't get you anything but a quick trip back into another incarnation. Possibly under worse circumstances.

I would stick it out if I were you.

Tomorrow is another Day, thing may turn around.

Love and blessings Don

If your talking about your life, Don't end it, you only have one life and you should live it to its fullest. If not, its your decision.

Only you can decide if there's a reason, not anyone else. If you are going to do it, run your car in a closed garage and breathe in the CO. Goodbye.
