Jesus Christ will always forgive you. If He can forgive the sinner next to Him on Calvary, when He was crucified--He will forgive anyone that will come to Him. God is not a respecter of persons. He gave us His Son to die for our sins, so your sins were already paid in full. He made Jesus His lamb, the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. So whoever comes to Jesus, ask forgiveness and repent, and make Him your Lord and Savior and you are sincere about it, you are heaven bound. You become a born-again, if you were a Christian before. You earn the right to be called a child of God. Start reading the Holy Bible-- I will recommend The New Translation because it's easy to understand.

Have a personal relationship with Jesus, understand His teachings in the New Testament-- start with the Gospel of John.
As you start this process, pray to God to give you discernment and wisdom to understand the Holy Bible.

John 3:16 "For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." There is nothing you can do that God will not forgive. Ask God to forgive you for all the wrong things that you have done. Then ask Jesus to come into your heart and be your Lord and Saviour and live for Him. The Christian life is a progression, it is a day by day walk with the Lord. Love, be bless

Read the works of the best Christian philosophers, scientists, scholars, etc.

I recommend the writings of St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Augustine, St. Ignatius, and of course the Bible, which should be your starting point in your search for the truths of Christianity.

For a few more modern Christian thinkers, I suggest the works of G.K. Chesterton, C.S. Lewis, Peter Kreeft, and Benedict Groeschel.

As for God's forgiveness, the Bible and Christianity in general teaches that there is only one unforgivable sin - the refusal to be forgiven, so you don't have to worry of you just pray for God's forgiveness every day and make a genuine effort to change your life.

Oh Honey!!! He took you off the "beaten path" for a reason. I just posted about having changed religions myself. A number of times. From Catholic to witch, to buddhist and back to catholic again!

I have found a reason for everything I learned while I was away. God needed me to learn how to talk to people. I learned so much and have since been able to help so many!!!

Yes! Yes! He forgives. And he will show you how to use what you learned while you were away. Just allow him in!

Hugs and God bless!!

Why do you think that God cares what religion you are?

God does not care which path you chose.

His only concern is what you learn while you are on that path.

As for the so-called sin. God never judged you so there is nothing to forgive.

As another answer said, find a bible preaching church. Surrender you life to Christ. Ask Him to forgive you for all your past sins. He certianly will if you are sincere. Remember it is all about accepting that Jesus died on the cross for your sins, yes yours and mine and everybody elses. But you must also accept that Jesus rose again and is currently living in Heaven next to God.
Don't be afraid to ask questions but pray first and ask God to speak to you and let you know if things don't seem right, as in the answers you get. Only you can decide which church to try but please be careful and let our Lord guide you. He will if you truly surrender to Him.

Jesus told Peter that through Peter that Jesus would build His church (not churches). Matthew 16:13-19, verse 18, "And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it." Jesus went on to say in verse 28, "Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom." His Church.
If one will now go to the first 2 chapters of Acts one will see that Jesus' Church was established through Peter. Acts 2:38 tells how to get into this church and to be saved. Hope this helps.

You become a "true Christian" by accepting the one true God's Son, Jesus, as your Lord and Savior, and believing the fact of your salvation in your heart.

God bless you. I'll add you to my prayers.
