He does. God has appointed a time for each person to die, and when that time comes they will die. Until then you can't die.

i am not considered to be that religious of a person, first of all.
i do pray to God. i talk to him and tell him my thoughts and what my plans are, although it is very possible that he knows about these things already.
Yes i have asked god to control my suicidal thought and he seemed to answer me as i do not feel that way anymore
Yes i have asked god about committing suicide, and i have tried in the past a couple times, but i am still here so i think that was his way of telling me not to anymore
Yeah, it's as easy as believing in love, or that your friend was where he said he was when he was not able to go with you. If you believe in love, if you believe in truth, if you believe in good, if you believe in justice, then why not believe in god? Because that is where these thing come from.
I am able to believe in god because i have a hard life and have experienced miracles that got me out that hard life.

Yours is really a thoughtful question:
Everything exists eternally.
Dust can exist eternally, why a precious being like man cannot?
Existence as we experience is of two forms: single and composed.
Single existence changes not, we consider it as living.
Composed existence when decomposed, we consider it as dead. So at the decompsition of our body, our relatives cry bitterly for thinking of eternal separation. How the loving God can be so unjust with man!
Our soul is single existence, so it eternally lives. When you are heedless about it, you consider it as dead or non-existent.
I believe in God through reading the Holy Books revealed by His successive Divine Messengers. In an answer up here, I have written about the perfect education provided by the revelative Religions.
I, and perhaps nobody can teach you to believe in God. Only the perfect Educator, that is the Messenger of God, can educate man in all aspects; if you had no awareness or interest to enter his free school for learning, then no radical change can occur.
All your worries will be removed when you have conscious faith in learning and practicing the lessons of God, then no thoughts of killing or committing suicide will bother your mind. You will enjoy greater and greater peace depending on your level of obedience to your Educator.
Wishing you complete attainment.

God can do anything He wants to. But, why would He "protect" us from death since death is the doorway between this life and life with Him?
Do I pray to God? Daily.
What about? Everything in need and in praise.
My suicidal thoughts and tendencies?? Huh?
About committing suicide? hmm...seems a pattern is emerging.
Can *I* teach you "to believe in God"? No person can do that. Your belief comes by way of faith.
How do *I* believe in God? Daily. In prayer. In thanks for everything that He provides me with. In faith.
Perhaps you can refine your questions a bit so that there's something to focus on and answer?

"Can God protect us from death? "
Besides the "story" of Jesus, have you ever known anyone in modern times who was able to cheat death because of God?
"Do you pray to God?"
No more then I pray to fairies and pixies
"What do you pray to God about?"
The same thing I pray to fairies and pixies about.Nothing.
"Have you ever asked God to control your suicidal thoughts and tendencies?"
Never had any.But if I did I would seek counseling.Since the best help you can get is from the living.
"Have you ever asked God about Committing Suicide?"
Never thought about it and if I did I would ask a counselor
"Can you teach me to believe in God?"
I can't teach you to believe in something that I don't believe in.
"How do you believe in God?"
Blind faith is how people believe in God.Since I don't believe that blind faith is healthy or answers any real questions with substance and proof, I can't believe that faith does anything but make a person feel something that can be substituted with chocolate

I ask God for wisdom adn courage for each adn every day that i am being faced with temptation to sina dn do bad thigns that are not of God. He wathces me eacha dn everday and protects me from evil. I am not having suicidal thoughts, i never did but i ask God alot of things. I ahve a personal relationship with Him, He lvoes me and i love Him. If u want to be with God, read His Word, that will teach u about Him and let u know who He is. He loves each and one of us. He hates the sins that we commit but if u really love Him, and are really seeking forgiveness, He will forgive u.
I believed in God for a while now. Since i was little like 10 or so but i never really ahd a relationshop with Him sicne last year. I love God so much. I have complete faith and trust in my Saviour and Father. He is the King og Kings and Lord of Lords. He deserves every praise and worship. I would def dief or Him. Jesus died for me a brutal way, why can't I? He did so much fopr me so i want to give back to Him by worshiping Hima dn giving Him the glory and ahving a relationship with Him. U should try it. First tell God that u are seeking His love and want to be coser to Him adn ahev a relationship with Him. God loves when people finally realize tat He is Lord adn will automatically help anyone who is seeking Him. He NEVER turns anyone down. Even if they were a mass murderer or arapist or anythgin. Anyone who is truly seeking His love and friendship from God , He will accept.

Do you pray to God?
Every day, multiple times a day.
What do you pray to God about?
A lot of different things. I pray for myself, my future, his plans for me, help in every situation, for friends and their situations, my family. I also give him praise in prayers, for answered prayers, even unanswered prayers.
Have you ever asked God to control your suicidal thoughts and tendencies?
I've asked God to help me out of dry periods of life, or depressed times, times when I feel discouraged and down.
Have you ever asked God about Committing Suicide?
I don't have to ask God about committing suicide, I already know that that is not the answer to anything.
Can you teach me to believe in God?
I can teach you about God and you can know him through intellectual knowledge, but to believe takes something that you have to do by yourself. I can try to help you and give you encouragment and answer question that you may have about life and God, but that initial faith towards God is something that he must first call you. You cannot find God or seek after him without him first calling you to him.
How do you believe in God?
I'm not sure what you mean. I don't know how I believe in God, but I know that my faith is shown and displayed through my deeds, actions, and lifstyle.

Yes Dave.
I thank God for the opportunity that I have been given.
Never seriously considered suicide.
Same as above.
No one can do that. It is something only you can do, but you need your body to do this. So you best take care of it.
Yes I believe in God But for many years i did not. Then this happened to me.
Several years ago I had an unusual experience concerning an uncle, a distant relative who lived over a thousand miles away.
While driving my car I suddenly felt the unmistakable presence of this relative that I hardly even knew. He was more like someone I had heard about than someone I knew. It was very strange; it felt as though I was momentarily lifted right out of my physical body. I seemed to be suspended somehow beyond space and time, bathed in a love so intense It felt like I could have just disappear into it at any moment if It would have let me. It only lasted for a few seconds, but it seemed to last forever at the same time. I realize how crazy this must sound. The experience was so strong that at first I was afraid I was loosing my grip on reality. I finally managed to chalk it up to an over active imagination.
Three days later I got a call from my aunt telling me that this uncle we are talking about had gone into a coma and died the day I had the experience. It felt like ice water had been poured down my back when she told me this. I had lost any real ideas of God or faith and had become somewhat of an atheist. Needless to say this experience caused me to rethink some of the conclusions I had come to.
I feel blessed to now understand that even in our darkest confusion something loves us so much that it went out of its way to assist me and bring me back to a state of absolute certainty about Gods love for us.
During the experience it seemed like there was a vast amount of information that I was somehow allowed access to. One thing that I came away from this experience understanding beyond any shadow of a doubt was that any Idea that God is unhappy with us or would judge or allow us to be punished for any reason is simply impossible.
I can’t explain the love I felt with words. They simply don’t make words big enough or complete enough to do this. The only way I can begin to convey this love to you is to say that there was simply nothing else there. Nothing but love. No hint of judgment, no displeasure of any sort. It is as though God sees us as being as perfect as we were the day we were created. It is only in our confused idea of ourselves that we seem to have changed.
I hope this is of some help to you. Good luck. Love and blessings.
Your brother
Don

God can certainly protect us from death. When I pray to God I usually pray about living a life that is pleasing to Him. I ask Him to lead me and to cause me to be successful in serving Him.
While I have never asked God to control suicidal thoughts per se, I have asked Him to help me to overcome temptation to do things that are harmful. I thought about committing suicide back when I was a homeless alcoholic before I became a Christian but that was the low point in my life that I needed to be at to give up trying to depend upon myself instead of trusting in God.
It isn't in God's will for a person to commit suicide in most cases. Suicide is usually the result of depression and it can also have a spiritual component because Satan and his demonic minions want to kill people who are created in God's image.
I can't "teach" you to believe in God, but I can pray for you. I would suggest that you find a good local Christian church and show up on Sunday for one of the services. I don't know where you live so I can't recommend one, but usually a non-denominational or a Baptist church is a good one to go to. The people are always happy when someone new who doesn't yet have a relationship with God shows up and I'm sure that they would like you to come.
As to how someone believes in God, it's different for each person. I didn't believe or disbelieve in God for most of my life. But God who is merciful and kind arranged circumstances in my life to where I ended up at a church one Sunday and I heard the gospel message and went up at the end of the service for prayer. I was all stressed out because I was in a rehab program and I knew that my life wasn't going to change when I got out but after I asked for God to give me his Holy Spirit I was walking back from the church and I didn't feel so stressed any more.
That's one of the jobs of the Holy Spirit, to comfort and counsel believers. You can write to me if you have any questions. This is a link to the church I attend http://www.alcf.net and here is a link to my Pastor's teaching that you can hear via your comuter for free. http://www.oneplace.com/ministries/enduring_truth/archives.asp
