I think he wants us all to have the same beliefs and get along. MAN has done all of this. We will ruin ourselves. God gave us brains to do the right thing and make the right decisions in life. I dont think he intended for us to be divided up like we are.

Jesus came to divide. He came to divide the wheat from the tears the sheep from the goats, in other words the believers from the unbelievers. Unfortunately, there is hardly a hint of what the true church resembles now a days. They may all have differant names but not very many are preaching the true gospel anyway. There is a small amount of true believers and yes some of them might belong to some of these churches. But spiritually if they are born again believers they are apart of the true church which has no physical building. What we don't want is for all the churches to become one or to unite because it would be a false unity. This has already happened. It is the ecuminical movement and is the future one world religion that the scripture speaks about. So as for myself, I don't call myself anything but a christian. But so do thousands of other people who call themselves christians but aren't. The Word says that before the man of lawlessness is revealed, the falling away of the truth has to take place. This means that there will be no truth preached in the christian churches that are claiming to be christian. That is why so many people will cry out saying, "We cast out demons in your name and prophesied in your name etc..." and He (Jesus) will say, "Depart from me, I never knew you." They accepted a false gospel that resembled christianity and preached Jesus but not the Jesus of the bible. I prefer to call myself a christian, because I know Christ personally and I'm not a part of any denomination.

I think they are divided based on traditional laws created by men, not by God. Some believe this and some believe that...
If you try to analyze this deep-seated differences of opinions, you will lose sight of the most important thing-- what the Holy Bible really said-- and just leave it to God to do the judging. We are all going to face Him someday. The best way is to be right with God based on His Word and Truth.

It came to this because there have been many times in the past when people have discovered things in the Bible they didn't know about before - things that the church was ignoring.
When these things were pointed out, not everyone chose to accept them, so the group would break up, those who accepted them going a separate way from those who didn't.
The question you need to answer is, Does it matter to God if I believe/accept everything he says, or can I pick and choose what I want to believe, even if it doesn't agree with what God says?

It grieves Him, that's how it makes Him feel.
Ephesians 4:30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Remember the story of Babel. Man was united in spirit and language. Man tried to build a tower to the heavens and God smote them and scattered them and confounded them so that they couldnt not understand eachother.... It is sad that we are so divided but we can only do what the holy spirit tells us is correct.

I doubt if God cares in the least.
God created as many paths home as there are souls.
Which one you take is of little concern.
What you learn on the path you have chosen is what matters.
Love and blessings Don

God and religion have very little to do with each other.
God is our loving parent and our friend when we allow it. The key to faith is trust. If you pray, and your prayer is more than "Thy will be done", you don't trust God, and therefor your faith is shaky.

As a nondenominational Christian I focus on the teachings of the Bible...not the doctrines of a church. I think that's the way it should be.
