I was studying revelation when i read about a white horse backrider and he had a name written on him no one could read. It read bible. From my understanidning the bible sort of IS the Holy spirit, improving our minds with the wisdom of the Bible and remimding us of vs. in the Bible day to day (the holy spirit does do this right?). So does the Holy spirit have a name of what? And is it Bible? (christian responses please!)

With all the satellites and technology that we have today, if the Ark is real, why can't anyone find it.
Doesn't that bother anyone? Christianity is based strongly on the belief of the famous flood and the ark.

I'm not old or unattractive; this is just a hypothetical question. I'm in love with an Atheist man and I don't know if my religion is a turn-off for him. I wouldn't try to push anything on him (not religiously anyways, lol) especially since such an act is forbidden.

So if we are made in his image and everything in life is about him and for him and for his will. . . then why did he make us in his image and then expect us not to to do the same? Why should he be so selfish, always wanting only his way and then expect us to be the opposite? Why are we expected to give up our own desires, goals and wishes to trade them in for his desires goals and wishes. He can be selfcentered but he tells us we can't?

1) Would you agree with the Bible when it says. "The Lord is man of war; the Lord is His name" (Exodus 15:3)? Is it not a blasphemy to say that God is a man, even a man of war?

unknown dimensions, talking snakes and donkeys, prophecy, fruit that could make you know good and evil, fruit that can make you live forever, a worldwide flood that the Egyptians, the Chinese and the Aztecs didn't notice, the four corners of the world, the firmament above the Earth etc. etc.
Do you have to swallow it all down. or can you just ignore all that and believe that Jesus died to save us?

As a man of science, I have to say I don't believe the idea that a god created everything. I believe the Big Bang and the natural order of the universe. Why? Because of the tremendous amount of evidence.
Anyways, I've always asked religious people this question:
If god created everything, who created god?
I'm hoping someone will give an intelligent answer and not the rediculous "god exists out of time" bull.

A teenage girl about 17 had gone to visit some friends one evening and time passed quickly as each share theirvarious experiences of the past year.

She ended up staying longer than planned, and had to walk home alone. She wasn't afraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away.

As she walked along under the tall elm trees, Diane asked God to keep her safe from harm and danger.

When she reached the alley, which was a short cut to her house, she decided to take it.

However, halfway down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he were waiting for her.

She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for God's protection.

Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness and security wrapped round her, she felt as though someone was walking with her.

When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man and arrived home safely.

The following day, she read in the newspaper that a young girl had been raped in the same alley

I am a man of science, yes, religons arch enemy. I have come to a conclusion, I may not be a religous person, but I am not ignorant of the topic, I have read the entire Holy Bible from front to back, and I also attended 5 years of catholic school (which I aced), and I have nothing but the utmost respect for all of you people who do believe in God and/or the Bible, it is incredibly hard to have that kind of faith, and for you to have it, my hats off to you all. But math states that 2 + 2 = 4, but do you not realize that the Bible is telling you the answer is 5. Seriously, reread Genesis, and you'll find 3 things where the bible states 2 + 2 = 5, ( the creation of the greater & lesser lights, for example). Even the Bible itself contradicts itself, How is this possible, Believe God, well, maybe, possibly, the bible, no sorry, I can't believe something that calls itself a liar.

It is like believing in the GHOSTS, why does he have to hide?
Religions talk about faith , why would he want to leave us pondering and rely just on faith? No need for a GOD to do that.
why Are you supposed to get the faith just based on the bible, which was written by human beings ,revised many times and has so many contradictions?
So many get hooked on religions because scared of the unknown,
scared of going to hell, churches have held ,and still do ,so much power troughout history installing fear into people's mind to get peopledevoted to their churches and get their money.
It would be very easy for God to just show himself , evrything would be solved, why not doing so?

PRIEST ACCUSED OF MOLESTATION SAYS HE FONDLED FOLEY
GOZO, Malta (CNN) -- The priest who sources said was named by former Rep. Mark Foley as his abuser said Thursday he fondled Foley but there was never a rape.

"Once maybe I touched him or so ... but I didn't -- it's not something you call rape or penetration or anything like that, it was just fondling," Father Anthony Mercieca (prono: mer-CHEE-ah) told CNN affiliate WPTV in a phone interview from his home on the island of Gozo, near Malta in the Mediterranean Sea.

The priest told WPTV and CNN's "Paula Zahn Now" that he was having a nervous breakdown and was taking pills at the time that clouded his memory of the incident.

So now we have the "priest abuse" 'fondling' excuse and the "nervous breakdown" excuse. I don't know whether to laugh or cry, or both.

(Is this Priest telling the truth. I'm trying to imagine him remembering Foley, that'

"New York's highest court ruled Thursday that social service agencies run by the Roman Catholic Church and other faiths must provide birth-control coverage to their employees, even if they consider contraception a sin."

Now I'm not trying to aruge about contraception here. Personally I am very thankful for it. What I'm wondering is why does it seem that "separation of church and state" only seems to apply when liberals want to use it to accomplish a goal? Like removing prayer in schools or removing the words "under God" in our pledge of allegience?

Why is separation of church and state not applied during this case?
