The percentage must be low as it really is not allowed in the Bible. A woman is not supposed to take authority over the men, and the job of Pastor is normally held by a man as it involves headship over men.

I would say less than 10 or maybe even 2 precent. Traditionally, men tend to be pastors a lot more then women because that's one of the roles God gave them. It doesn't say anywhere in the bible that women can't be pastors though.

Not many. However this has nothing to with it being forbidden in the Bible and more to with a misrepresantation of the Bible. The common scriptures used to support the position that women should not teach in church are deliberately quoted out of the context of the time in which it was written.

For you are ALL SONS of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is NEITHER male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. (cf Gal.3)

The daughters of Zelophehad speak what is right; you shall surely give them a possession of inheritance among their father's brothers, and cause the inheritance of their father to pass to them. (Numbers 27:7)

Let a woman learn in silence with all submission.
This scripture is not speaking of women as opposed to men - t is speaking about how one should learn -and evidently there was a problem in Timothy's parish with women not following this protocol - women with arrogance problems. We are all - male and female - given great liberty in Christ, but neither men nor women should use their liberty as an occasion to the prideful flesh, but rather by love serve one another (Galatians 5:13).

And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence.
IN THE ORIGINAL GREEK this verse may have read "And I do not permit a wife to teach or to have authority over her husband, in order that she might live a quiet, undisturbed, peaceable life." Most women know that the reason a wife can't teach her husband is because he won't listen. And it is a wise wife who knows that it is not a good idea for her husband to not seek advice from others outside the home - this makes the marriage a stagnant pool - nothing flowing in to refresh and invigorate......

Should be 0 % ..Pastor is defined as a male figure . I Corinthians 14 : 33 - 35 .. For God is not the author of confusion , but of peace , as in all churches of the saints . Let your women keep silence in the churches : for it is not permitted unto them to speak ; but they are commanded to be under obedience , as also saith the law . And if they will learn anything , let them ask their husbands at home : for it is a shame for women to speak in the church .

The only stats I've seen are by denomination. For example, in the Southern Baptist Convention, there are only one tenth of one percent. This would be higher in more liberal groups, such as the Presbyterian Church (USA).

The bible says that a bishop* is the husband of one wife. Rosie O'Donnell is the only woman who can do that and I don't think she wants to fill that role.

*bishop- pastor or preacher, not to be confused with arch bishoplike the ones in the Catholic church
