It is an issue of healthcare coverage... And your rights to have access to them...
Why such a blanket statement about the Liberals and removing prayer from schools...
the actual concept of separation of church and state is that there will be no acknowledgement of a formal state religion... This isnt solely directed at "christians" it is to separate the obligations of the social political system from theistic affairs...
Would you endorse a state sponsored wiccan morning prayer at your school? Or would you be OK with the pledge state one nation under Buddha?
Depriving an employee to access to healthcare (which includes birth control and contraception) because of theistic reasons violates laws put in place to protect the employees. If I ran an organization that believes that maternity leave is an afront to god, can't specify that coverage be forbidden from a medical plan.

Settle the hack down miss conservative crazy lady! Seperation of church and state has been dead for years. I once went to a crazy conservative church, and no crap, the whole sermon was about the election, and how we were to vote for bush, because he was going to do Gods work! Ministers pay taxes, which means our offering is taxed. Churches often Give to military people, who work for the government. You drop a dollar in the bucket for the salvation army (which is a church) next to the army man ringing the bell. The church is using the government to raise money. Honey, it goes both waysm but seperation, there is not.

not every one who uses the social services , and the employees are catholic, therefor they are not seperated.
That is the argument at least.
I see it as government forcing beliefs on Catholics. I agree - the liberals only act to help them. But are the conservatives any different?
Power is what rules - sad state of affairs

Because they must be breaking a law doing what they were doing. The Catholic Church is not immune to laws.

what makes you think that the court of new york is adhering to either the state or the us constutions in their religion of man? this is a too obvious case of oppressing a religious belief the establish a G-Dless occult religion of baal molech, G-D hates even more than secular satanism. this is very very close to the commiting of treason against the constitution of the united states of america. with G-Dless stupidity putting then in positions of power to be over abused.

In this case, the church is, of its own choice, acting in the stead of a governmental agency. As such, it cannot simultaneously act in that stead and in the stead of its religious nature.
They must render unto ceasar or render unto God.

I believe it interferes with human rights & likely that's why there's no obvious division here.
It's a touchy subject...on the other hand, how many catholics do you know that have really large families?

actually its quite the contrary.
the separation of church and state is EXACTLY what is applied during that case.
what would be NOT applying it, would be conceeding their beliefs to get out of providing that coverage.
