People who say this often refer to Bible verses that supposedly say that women cannot have authority over men, and that's why women cannot be pastors, priests, etc. If this is so, then is it also a sin for me (as a guy) to get a job where I have a female supervisor?

People usually feel that they know something, when they feel they've got a pretty good handle on it, or when they see, or experience it for themselves. The problem with that is, seeing, and even experiencing things first hand, can sometimes be misleading. For instance, two people can see the same accident and have to completely different views of who is at fault. I think that knowing and believing are strictly an individuals choice. Right now I know that I'm wearing blue shorts, and a grey cut-off shirt. I also know that I'm telling you the truth about my outfit, do you know what I'm wearing, do you believe me? I know it's corny, but I just wanted to hear some different thoughts on the subject.

Ok, I am non-denominational. In our beliefs, we women are not to cut our hair, wear makeup or pants or anything pertaining to a man. By cutting your hair you are given into the latest trends, right? And wearing makeup is just something of the world and when you truly got the HOLY GHOST you have no desire to be like the world. I know some have told me that it's just stupid to not cut your hair because it's a part of grooming. In my religion, it is used to cover the body. As well as skirts and dresses are to cover the body. Do you agree or disagree with these teachings? Do you agree with the rest of the world and truly think it's ok to do the things that they do?

In light of all the evidence that exists to support that we are a Christian nation – meaning not that our nation infringes upon anyone’s right to free religious practice and expression, but that our government was meant to exclusively endorse the Christian faith – what evidence exists to support the other side of the argument? …I am especially looking for excerpts from founding documents, decisions of the Court, written opinions of those who served on the Court, etc….not so much speculation about the religiosity of our founders or even random quotes (although these are fine too if you want)….Seems like the only piece of evidence that even remotely points that way (and in opposition to all the other evidence) is the Treaty of Tripoli (for which there seem to be several theories to debunk it). What else does anybody have?

I’m not looking to stir up hostility….I ask this with great respect and look forward to intelligent answers. Thanks.

I am the second wife of my husband and I feel terrible at first I didn't know he has a first wife. after three years of dating we get married not realising I'm the second one. Now everything is revealed and I'm going into too much details. But it is painful and decietful to share with other woman your husband. I'm contemplating to leave him because I feel he loves his first wife more than I do this could be manifested in the sense that he's buying expensive things to the 1st and for me just the cheap ones. I feel I'm wortheth and I couldn't stand it anymore. I'm so jealous and mentally tortured over stressed and it feels like i'm killing myself softly. advice please

thanks

Look on TV, look at these young girls, these young boys. It's terrible the way they put their selves out there. I am a 15yr old female and I just don't understand why some kids gotta be like that. I think we should stop focusing on wars and these big mighty nations with all their nuclear weapons and such and start focusing on God. If we all truly had God, we wouldn't have a reason to fight other nations. Is the world soon coming to an end? If not, then how much worse can this world and these people get?

Will Rosie be removed?
Becuase I am guy and I used to like watching the show, but ever since Star was replaced with Rosie I hate the show and am disgusted! She is way to pushy and over powers everyones opinion..every woman on that show is scared to open their mounth becus their afarid this butchy chick will punch them or get them fired. She pushes her "openess" waaaaay to much. If they wanted gay why didnt they go for porshia or lance. Producers think we like Rosie and we did till she came out like a roaring butch. If shed came out cool and not soo pushy we wouldve liked her. Bring back Star it brought the racial issue at a balance.

...just start killing people? You may as well, right? That is what I get from reading this: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20061019203018AAkzm9c&r=w#RZB8DGC6VmSk4YjKAecwKxDxuGzAhpqOCgHLWepd7jpgLP_ZUsVl but I just wanted to make sure. We are still assuming he exists in this situation. I didn't want to get too drastic.

Frankly, I have a brain and the sense to use it. I do not need a BIBLE, the church, a religious leader, NOR organized religion to tell me what is right and wrong. Why can others not figure it out for themselves? I think if there is a God, we bother him wayyyyyy to much for stupid stuff we can work out and figure out on our own.

really take your own advice?. I have read several times that you think people should be silent, especially at school. When I went to school, it was a place to discuss and compare and contrast views, because the exchange of ideas is an exercise that promotes critical thinking. Surely you don't think that Atheistic assumptions are the only ones permissable? Just curious.

Oh, also, my edit button doesn't work on the questions, so I really can't respond individually. :(
