Because human beings will never understand that God wouldn't back war at all. Still, if you are stupid enough to engage in war, you had better think you have "right" on your side, and who is "righter" than God.

God is not solidly backing both sides. The humans on both sides claim that He is. Because they say so doesn't make it so.

Who says God solidly backs both sides? They just think He does. On Judgement Day, some people will be surprised.

I don't know but even back in the civil war the South beleived God was on their side and would defeat the North, and the North beleived God was on their side and would defeat the south.

God doesn't "back wars." Only His own...which hasn't happend yet. In fact, God is soon going to do away with wars. (Isaish 2:4; Psalms 46:9)

I'm not sure that He is backing both sides. God loves mankind with an everlasting love and detests the suffering that we put ourselves through. He is there for us when we choose to reach out to Him and then when we're willing will teach and guide us in truth.

because when false prophets claim G-D is on our side. both sides, are generaly not realy on TheSide of G-D when this is said.
