...just start killing people? You may as well, right? That is what I get from reading this: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20061019203018AAkzm9c&r=w#RZB8DGC6VmSk4YjKAecwKxDxuGzAhpqOCgHLWepd7jpgLP_ZUsVl but I just wanted to make sure. We are still assuming he exists in this situation. I didn't want to get too drastic.

Beenthroughthat, they are not even close to the same.
Aaron, I know the bible says Jesus said that. I'm not disputing that or the fact that people are being killed, I just want to know if it would affect your "moral compass"
The link to the question made me wonder. It obviously influenced the question just before mine as well.

Freebird, you misunderstand me. Slightly. Let me clear up a few things: There is no god and all prophets are false. That should give you some insight into my point of view. Thanks, and Have a Nice Day.
Nikki that might be the only thing you have ever said (that I have read) that I agreed with. Thanks

Not all Christians think in the same way as that sorry person who wrote that. He will be judged according to his judgment of others. Besides, if he knew the true meaning of Christianity he would not judge others like that no matter what their religious conviction except to pray for them that they may believe.

No. I don't refrain from killing because of fear of Jesus (Hopefully, that's not the only thing stopping you either!! This is a really psyco question for someone to ask!)
I refrain from killing, and many other things, because that's the right thing to do. Millions of people in the world manage to be good people without belief (actually, you imply "fear") in Jesus. I truly hope you develop a set of morals of your own that are not dependent on a fear that's fragile and subject to diminishment. Otherwise, you're one moment of doubt away from being a mass murderer.

That will be a lot of people, since only 144,000 will go to heaven according to scripture. I'd say easily that way more good Christians than that have died already, so what chance does anyone have today of getting past the Pearly Gates?

Jesus wouldn't just come down and tell anyone that. It would contradict him saying that it s not his will for anyone to die! HOWEVER, it is written in the end of this age, HE will say that to some CHRISTIANS who have healed the sick, raised the dead and cast out deamons...IN HIS NAME..HE tells them to get away from ME !(Matt. 7:23) He is allowing the late bloomers, spiritual babes, spiritual illiterates, athiest, people that don;t have a religious clue, etc. to REALLY have an opportunity to be called sons of God!!!!!!!!!!!! so don't do anything stupid, like go about killing people...you don't want to have to meet your creator feeling like a "broke dick dog!!!

Based on the question you refer to, your question is a valid one. But the answer is, of course, no.
Not all Christians believe that to not believe in God is to embrace evil and immorality. But many do, and I'm sorry for how they behave. I've been condemned even as a Christian by Christians for not being "Christian enough" for them.

It never ceases to amaze me that people are so stupid that they actually think that it takes a belief in god to be a moral person. I guess they must have no common sense. Morals are common sense. If they would have no morals without fear of hell than they are just admitting that they have no common sense.

What do you mean? Jesus DID tell everyone that not everyone is going to make it. And we have killings today. So what exactly is your point?
