But I'm not getting any of it. Was Jesus just another damn liar, like my ex-wife?

You my friend are right in what you say. Jesus Christ did say that if you had the faith the size of a mustard seed you could say unto this mountain begone and it would. The key word is Faith.

You my friend do not have faith, but that's not a reason to just give up. The Bible tells us that Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. Read that again and this time read between the lines so to speak.

When you read the Word of God and ask Him to send the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ He will and the Holy Spirit will give you new ears to hear the Word of God and thus gain Faith.><>

i'm not saying don't pray, but i sort of agree with you a little. I pray for a lot of things that i don't get. Even when someone close to me is sick, and i pray for them to get better, they don't. I ask myself everyday, why pray if God only answers what he wants. I don't think anybody understands that. Just keep praying is all I can say. That is a question like "well, if GOD loves everybody, why does he let bad things happen to people?" It's just one of those thiongs. If you are a true believer, then you should understand that god knows what he is doing and its for the good.

Kind of. Your heart has to be pure in asking. No motives or agendas. Like someone told me once, God is not a cosmic Santa claus. He gives according to His will and purpose. Also, the word says when we ask, ask in Jesus's name, which specifically means in his character; how He would ask, with only love and seeking God's will. God already knows what you need, so start praying for others and watch God do good things for them and you.

don't even speak of him like that. first of all if you had real faith in Jesus you would never dought him the way you do now. you got to have patience and pray to him constantlly. i had faith in him and prayed to him every day which i still continue and got many favours granted. do you really think that he didn't grant you anything you wanted. ofcourse he did, look at you! you are living right now because jesus gave you the life to live. you have to have constant faith and trust in him and ofcourse you have to be patient. if you had faith in god you would never call your wife a damn liar!!!!!!!!!!!!......

I think you may be referring to Matthew 6:33.

People in the world are controlled by the flesh and are always seeking to satisfy its demands. When we're born again, we give the spirit the priority in our lives and put our flesh and emotions under the control of the spirit. We establish our priorities by: (1 ) Deciding what is most important to us. For the Christian, the primary concern should be his relationship with God

Seems silly, doesn't it?

Ask that His will be accomplished in your life.

there is a trick to it. you actually have to have such faith, such a total unadulterated faith , then it will work, but if you have even a single thread of doubt, it will screw it all up, in Romans it says it is a sin to doubt,do not doubt, have the faith that a mustard seed has, one with out a single bit of doubt, it is a hard thing to do, but I have done it, and it does work. if done properly, you have to practice .it is a certain state of mind and total faith. it is a hard thing to teach. you must experience it, but it is there, I know. I have seen the fruits of it, materially, and in a lot of ways in my life.and also it doesnt matter if you beleive in god, are jesus, are what ever, faith works no matter what.

Not so my son. You can pray all you want and sometimes God says no. You need to pray for God's will in your life, that he will provide. You need a teacher not idle gossip to fill your head

Sometimes the best answered prayer is the unanswered. And when you prey, keep in mind it only happens if it is the will of the Lord. Don't pray for material or meaningless things. Keep in mind of what you have and what you really need,

It does say that in the bible. When I used to pray, I wanted so much to believe that.

In my opinion, there probably was a man named Jesus. Most, if not all, that is attributed to him in the bible is from the imagination of men. As most, if not all, that is recorded in the bible was invented by men.

Whatever you ask according to his will - not yours.

You don't sound like you could handle being given much, which is probably, in God's wisdom, the reason that you do not have it.
