I've read his essays, but what is the single best book

I have read "The Selfish Gene" and "The Blind Watchmaker". Of the two, I would say the first is "better", but both are good. His latest book, "The God Delusion", has somewhat mixed reviews. I may pick it up anyway simply because his works are brilliant and witty.

The Selfish Gene and the Blind Watchmaker are his best known works. I would recommend either of those to begin with.

The Blind Watchmaker is quite good.
