Then why do we say that Jesus and God are One. Are they one in the same or is there God the father, creator of the world and Jesus Son of God two separate figures? I was raised Catholic and have since gone to a Christian church. I am a little confused and not sure I understand. Thank you!

God is all Powerfull,he posseses all the power of the Universe .
So he probably has the power to Change the laws of Time and stop something from happening in the past, and change our history for ever.Then should not he-
1) Stop Constantine and his Hordes of Slaves from converting the Roman Empire by force?(300 years after christ died Roman Empire fell during this time none of the Romans had converted only their slaves and lower rung Civil servants converted as they had no political say) and see how many people would have converted without force.
2)Stop the Roman Catholic Church from Conquering every European Country and Converting them by force and see how many people would have converted on their own free will.
( I aint Muslim , I know Muslims have consolidated in a similar fashion by force)
In India the Total population in 1970 was 600 million then the percentage of Christian in India was 3%
Right now India has about 300 million Hindus who are of Upper Middle Class None are converting.Right now even the poor and lower middle class(400 million) are not converting on any significant scale.The population of India is over 1 Billion right now and the percentage of Christians is 2.2%
Percentage wise you have decreased though in absolute nos you may have increased in respect to total population .
I don’t know how many people believe that China is converting to Christianity on a rapid scale here cos
In 1990 Chinas percentage of Christians was 2.8 and right now it is 2.5.
So I really wish if God had that Power he should use it and find out how Many people in the World would have
Converted in the 2000 year period ever since your inception till the present day
In my opinion if Constantine was not their you Would have been descendants of a class of Losers(slaves)
And roaming around with your Mumbo Jumbo and no one would be listening even Now.

I really don't mean to be offensive - mildly hackle-raising, but not outright offensive - but when I see throngs of people with their arms raised, swaying synchronously like seaweed, gazing into the void, I find it frightening. How was God created? I constantly read posts about how the universe couln't be created in the big bang because you can get something from nothing and therefore God must have done it. However using this logic, there must have been something that created God, and if God was created, then what created him? You could keep this argument up forever.
I'll choose Occum's razor. The most logical explaination is big bang followed by evolution.

The resaon I ask this is cuz my dad and his friend did an exorcist in a chruch to a bum one night, he couldn't have ben older then 20 and all they had was a bible, O and a church. I was a vary interesting story to me. Plz inlighten me.

What do religious people think Gid is playing at? God created you and is omniscient therefore knows everything you will ever do (correct? or is he a bit forgetful) - so what is the point - is he just wasting time? waiting for answers to his yahoo questions?

You seem very quick to accept an omnipotent uber being - but have you seriously asked yourself what sort of thing would create this curious existance out of nothing ?- what is it trying to prove? and to whom?

Unfortunately many people seem to have very msierable existances in God's marionette show.

Ancient egyptian gods were worshiped by millions. There are ancient scrolls and hieroglyps (which predate christianity and islam by thousands of years) that show this simple fact. The great Pyramids which still stand today, also tell this story through hieroglyphs.

Do you think that it would be illogical and irrational to ask a person to provide evidence that proves the non-existence of these gods?

Do you think that most normal, intelligent adults can simply use logical deduction to conclude the non-existence of these gods?

In Berlin, freedom of speech and the role of art as expression took another blow as a leading opera house cancelled the opera that features the severed heads of Mohammed, Jesus and Bussha. Predictably, Muslims said they would again go crazy with rage if their religion was "insulted". Should the show go on? How can Muslims justify the double standard? In Mark chapter 11 verses 12-14 Jesus found a fig tree not bearing fruit. The scripture indicated that it was not the season for the tree to have fruit. Why did he then say that no fruit would ever be produced or eaten from that tree.

While yes, people in the KKK were killing while holding a bible other people were trying to stop them while holding a bible. What about the alcoholic father who puts down the bottle to play with his kid instead of getting drunk yet again from something he heard a preacher say......or what about the fact that God gives people hope? You may say people who believe in a God are ignorant or duped....but its good for most thinking that you always have someone by your side.
