Wage spiritual warfare, maintaining faith and a good conscience (1:18, 19)
Your concern should be, not with bodily training, but with godly devotion. Faith in God and his Word promotes spiritual well-being because it strengthens our conviction that he really cares about us.
Appreciate two basic truths about our life as a servant of Jehovah. (1) No one has a monopoly on problems, ailments, or difficult situations in life, and (2) Jehovah listens to the outcries of those earnestly appealing to him for help and a blessing.—Exodus 3:7-10; James 4:8, 10; 1 Peter 5:8, 9.
No matter how difficult your circumstances or how limited you may feel, do not give in to “the sin that easily entangles us”—lack of faith. (Hebrews 12:1) Continue to contend until you receive a blessing. Exercise patience, remembering aged Jacob, who wrestled all night for a blessing. Like the farmer who sows in the spring and waits for the harvest, patiently look for Jehovah’s blessing on your spiritual activity, no matter how limited you may feel your activity is. (James 5:7, 8) And always bear in mind the psalmist’s words: “Those sowing seed with tears will reap even with a joyful cry.” (Psalm 126:5; Galatians 6:9) Stand firm, and remain in the ranks of the contenders.
Jehovah’s laws and reminders revive our soul, enhance our spiritual well-being, bring us inward joy, and make our eyes shine with a clear vision of Jehovah’s wonderful purposes. A vital part of spiritual well-being for true Christians involves ‘letting their petitions be made known to God by prayer and supplication.’ The result is as promised in the Bible: “The peace of God that excels all thought will guard your hearts and your mental powers.”
Furthermore, many are fortified by Biblical promises of a paradise earth free of pain and suffering. (Revelation 21:3, 4)

reach out to others with pureness of heart without an agenda, just fill a need
also do same for self out of honor for self
supposedly "god" did this for man
and we call those who do this 'saints' or godly like Ghandi, Mother Theresa, Martin Luther King Jr, or others like Jesus
focus on what is your real need and create the environment to fulfill that need
if you are not satisfied, you have a hard time finding anything to fill it, and resort to addictions to try and fill it, hence Consumerism America and our shopping habits
generating a spiritual drive requires an awareness you are lacking
but maintaining it is the key or it will fall away
as a mechanic I learned it was best to do preventive maintenance than wait for things to break
daily patterns, meditation. rituals, charity, open discourse, social justice and learning to accept yourself before trying to love or accept others

You'll have to find this by exploring on your own. Explore different positive religions and start studying on them. I hate to say start with what you believe, because you may find your beliefs to change after reading about certain religions. Maybe buy one book each on positive spiritual paths and start there.
My personal recommendations would be to start with Christianity and Buddhism. (You're better off not to believe the BIble entirely though)

Apart from God you can have no spiritual well being. You must repent of sin then put your trust in Christ to save you. Then pray and read your Bible daily, obey what it says, and you can't go wrong.
