Something has been going on in my spirit but I'm not sure how to interpret it or who to help. In my dream I was in Charleston, SC at a shopping outlet; there was no one familiar with me but there were other shoppers around. Jesus raptured His people, we didn't see him but people just vanished. I was deeply saddned at the fact that I was left behind but I was more saddned that the children were left behind. I remember people screaming in complete agony not physical pain but a pain from the loss of a loved one. I was never afraid and I never felt that my connection to God was broken? I was so so sad when I woke up but again my sadness felt as if it were for someone else and not myself? Any suggestions as to what I was suppose to take from this dream?

Take these from Leviticus:

Lev 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

and

Lev 20:18 And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness [...] and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood: both of them shall be cut off from among their people.

In other words, men shouldn't have sex with each other (says nothing about lesbians), and couples should not have sex while the woman is menstruating.

I understand Christ "fulfilled" much of the OT and wonder how we choose among what's left. These injunctions both concern private matters between consenting adults. Shouldn't Christians be as ferocious about couples having sex during menstruation as they are about homosexuality? Have any Christians committed this SIN? Why is one ignored and the other not? Can you explain why Y!A is not filled with Christians castigating heterosexuals who have sex during a period? Why do no preachers speak out against it? We never seem to hear about it.

Some people won't drink, but they will overeat.

Most people don't think divorce and remarriage is wrong.

A lot of people work on Sunday.

Calling all Christians.
Jesus was said to be sacrificed FOR the sins of man by God. But who did God sacrifice Jesus TO?
All sacrifices are in honour of something or to something of a higher power so WHO WAS GOD APPEASING BY KILLING HIS SON (who was also god himself)

God was sacrificing himself to himself? How is this possible? Surely if He is all powerfull there was no need to sacrifice his son. Did he sacrifice his son to appease the Devil or a HIGHER POWER THAN GOD?
Please answer even if you are not a christian but make your answers cohernet. Thanks.

The kind of strength it takes to stand before a giant with just a sling and a stone, while surrounded by the sound of a thousand warriors shaking in their armor wishing they'd have had the strength to stand?

In Exodus we have "Thou shalt not commit adultery" and in Matthew 5:28 we have "But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery..."

It would seem to me that looking at a woman and lusting is committing adultery whereas if I hadn't seen her it wouldn't be?

I thought the New Testament overrules the Old Testament? How do I know when to apply what?

Two main theories suggesting the universe is infinite...

Big Crunch Theory: Suggests that before the big bang all the matter in the universe was drawn together and instead of making a black hole like most dense celestial bodies, resulted in a big bang. This hints at the universe having a rubber band effect where it expands then contracts.
- not possible under classical newtonian physics when we observe the universe is acually accelerating out instead of slowing down.

Infinite Mother Universe Theory - This theory is even more of a joke considering there's absolutey not logical or empirical evidence. It states that there is a universe creating universe that is infinitely creating random kinds of universi and thus we happen to be the one with life. This theory takes far more belief than a creator.

I think the universe started with a big bang and is finite. How about you?

So, as a Christian, if you have something against your brother, you aren't supposed to take part in communion.

I have a cousin that has done things against other people. I told her how I felt. We basically agreed to disagree. So 2 years later, her and another cousin (who was also her pastor) had a disagreement. She is no longer speaking to my immediate family because my brother had that cousin (the pastor) to marry him and his fiance. She didn't even come to the wedding and she has not spoken to us since.

So if someone is mad at me because she has a personal problem, is there anything I can do? I don't want to act like it was ok for her to be that way. She has yet to make amends.

God is portrayed as destructive in the Bible, from flooding the world to sending bears to kill children. This portrayal practically drops with the stories of Jesus Christ.

Chronologically, what was the last destructive act God did in the Bible? I am not counting Revelations, as that is supposed to be stories of destruction to come.

Quite a number of remains have been found of humans ancestors. Homo floresiensis (or Hobbits) are a notable example.

I wonder if we could just rewrite the bible to fit them in?

Think of all the verses in the bible you claim "no longer apply" or "that was a different time" before you answer this.
