God is portrayed as destructive in the Bible, from flooding the world to sending bears to kill children. This portrayal practically drops with the stories of Jesus Christ.

Chronologically, what was the last destructive act God did in the Bible? I am not counting Revelations, as that is supposed to be stories of destruction to come.

At the time of Jesus' crucifixion, the curtain between the Holy of Holies was ripped from top to bottom. That curtain was three ft thick! I can't think of anything destructive after that, unless you count the killing of a couple who held back some money from the sale of their home. Annas and Sapphira.

God does not act without a reason. The flood occurred because of wickedness in the world. But he saved faithful Noah and his family.
The children were killed by the she bear because they were taunting the prophet Elisha,

(2 Kings 2:23-24) And he proceeded to go up from there to Beth′el. As he was going up on the way, there were small boys that came out from the city and began to jeer him and that kept saying to him: “Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!” 24 Finally he turned behind him and saw them and called down evil upon them in the name of Jehovah. Then two she-bears came out from the woods and went tearing to pieces forty-two children of their number.
