This might seem a little bit contrite, but humans have been "creating" new humans for a long time through the normal process of mating, pregnancy and birth. We grow naturally from the components in our parents bodies. They asked the same question about "test-tube babies."
Clones aren't made from scratch. They are made from genetic material that has to come from somewhere. The problem with clones is that because the natural process of sexual reproduction is bypassed, the natural survival advantage that comes from strands of DNA "self-selecting" because one strand happens to be stronger or quicker than another is lost, making a clone more like a product of reproduction by cell division. So clones have a survival disadvantage. Still, if a human clone survived long enough to develop a mind and emotions, then he or she would also be able to communicate and then he or she could tell you whether he or she has a soul. Unless of course you ruin their self-esteem by telling them they don't.

I think it is a definite Yes!
A clone arises from dividing stem cells which is the origin of human babies. If they start cloning, it is similar to having a twin brother/sister. It is said (from genetic studies on animals) that the clones are not necessarily similar to the parent in all aspects ( either physically/ mentally) . So well that makes one thing sure, they have an independent identity and a soul.
I believe they are babies created by God and man has just played with science and discovered another way of procreation. Men always want to find complex ways to do things i guess [:-)]

First, I must point out your misuse of the word create. A clone is made with DNA that is a blueprint of an original. Man is able to manipulate the DNA, but he cannot "create" even a single cell by himself. It is beyond his capacity. This shows how ignorant it is attribute life to chance.
A clone will have a soul. It will be in the image of God, not man. Physical properties are the most base of the attributes of mankind.

Hmmm, I suppose not. If the soul is a gift for the living vessel, out of which was naturally born, and a clone is a test tube with no 'parents' then I would say no.

However, a possible scenario, it is may somehow 'share' the soul of it's host. In other words, the one who is cloned.

i am sure that they have different soul ,i never talk in science ,for sience exept than metaphysics ,the soul is not registered thing ,and they cant say if it is or its not ,but from my thought i saw same twins that even will start to cry or asking some thing in same time, even my friend had same twin that they start fever or sick with each other ,same twins god made too but in normal and natural male and female case ,i think the clone human as eve that made years ago also has soul ,its true that we cloned her but if she is breathing then the god did let it ,if the god did let it and we believe that every thing must has soul to be alive then colned one also has soul same as twins, may be so near movements as her clone base one,any way i think when we make some thing and it can breath or its same as master ,then the god made it or him or his alive and we just cloned his or her body ,and the main work god did to give her or him soul ,and i say if her or him doesnt has soul then he or she couldnt start to making first cell.

I think the clone would be made by injecting something in an already axisting body or maybe in the life existing in the womb of the mother-so it will surely have a soul-maybe a different one though (all this is just what i guess)

That answer requires true knowledge of what a soul is. Those historically recognized to be closest to making this definition would argue that most men do not have a soul alread but are merely senseless automatrons....clones....robots. I.E. Descartes

I wouldn't think so but then ... i wouldn't think they would have any concept of ID, ego and supergo either having said that .... Were they perfect clones ... they might only ... based on the person they were cloned from and with our luck ... Probably cloned after Freddy Kruger or Attila!!!

No they won't. They can have a brain, a body, but they will have no soul. A soul is given to somone created by God. Clones would be created by man.

Yes. I consider the soul to be the spark of existence. So, regardless of how that human form takes shape, it will contain that spark of life. In fact, many church groups condemned the first test-tube baby - Louise Brown.
