No, not in the least.
For some very enjoyable reading on Christian apologetics try reading C. S. Lewis or Ravi Zacharias.
I think the only thing Christians really feel sorry about is that they didn't become born again Christians earlier.

you have shown your lack of expertise by ability of asking this question. I just about desperate to no longer dignify it with an answer, yet consistent with probability there are people who somewhat don't understand what apologetics are consequently... My answer: Apologetics is the sector of learn curious concerning to the systematic protection of a place. somebody who engages in apologetics is referred to as an apologist. The term comes from the Greek notice “apologia,” meaning protection of a place against an attack. Early makes use of of the term comprise Plato's Apology (the protection speech of Socrates from his trial) and a few works of early Christian apologists, mutually with St. Justin Martyr's 2 Apologies addressed to the Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius. interior the well-known Christian experience while one speaks of Apologetics they are conversing of protecting the Christian faith against fairly some styles of assaults. those assaults can come from in the church (fake teachings and heresy) or from with out (different religions, secularism, and anti-Christian philosophy and teachings). you will possibly do properly to make sure the fairly some works i've got suggested above.

I did study alot of this but it has been about 10years ago and I do not remember the reason for the term apologetics but it is definetly not because they have anything to be sorry for. Unless they were sorry that they could not be more like Jesus.

They aren't called apoligetics. There is no such word. What they do is called apologetics, and they themselves are called apologists. If you look in a good dictionary you will fing "apology" defined as "a formal justification or defense, whether spoken or written".

Why on earth should a Christian feel apologetic for anything. You have a right to your opinion. I expect you are a non-believer, and I will defend your right to have that opinion come what may. However, please be kind enough to us Christians to afford us the same right to our belief.

Christianity has more blood on its hands than any other religion in the world. Therefore, they might have something to be sorry for.

Apologetics is the 'defence of an arguement'. I agree that Christians who totally believe everything in their bible have a great deal to defend.

Apologies are emotional pleadings. That's what religious "argument" is based on, using childish emotions instead of a mature and valid argument.
The religious are sophistic, not sophisticated.
Additional:
How interesting it is to see who is educated and who is ignorant.
"PaulCyp" is laudable while "thomasrobinsonantonio" is laughable; I bet the latter would have to look up the words to know I'm deriding him (and that word, too).
