Read these verses in the Old Testament-- Genesis 6: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and Jonah 3:10. GOD has repented for making man because of the evil in mans heart. Man was perfect in the beginning, but came sin and the fall of man.
King James Bible

This is like one of those time bombs that has to be de-fused by pulling several wires at the same time. In the Bible at several points, God did express sorrow over how humanity had turned out. As for us telling God what we think God should do, that's a spiritually dangerous path to take. Our choices are our own. How do you know you aren't- as you say-prefect? You must at least have an idea of, um, prefection if you can say that something is less than, er, prefect. And how would an idea like that get into your mind? I think it has something to do with having a conception of God.
So even though we aren't- I'm sorry, the word is PERFECT- we do have the choice to come as close to perfection as we can get ourselves to be through learning, trial and error, perseverance, thinking before we act and all the other things that humans learn in the course of a life.
Let me put it this way: if we were all born perfect, we'd have even bigger egos than we have now. Would we be able to love each other if we were all conceited? I think God did a nice thing by making us imperfect, giving us choices and allowing us to grow.

He shook His hard a few times and wondered why He bothered, in the KJV that is translated as repent. But when God made man He made him perfect. Man made the decision to turn to the dark side... (Ok I like Star Wars too) but that was man's doing not God's... Jim

No i do not think so.
I believe man is perfect with his small imperfections. They help a person learn from his mistakes and grow everyday.
I think life would be very boring if one were perfect. Being imperfect and being able to grow as a person everyday makes my life more happening and fills it with things to do, to appreciate things in others and to enjoy what i have.
Why now would i want God to repent when his making me imperfect is giving me progress and joy?( well,i wouldn't)

Interesting question on a number of levels.
Who would god repent to?
If humans were perfect, what would be the point of incarnating on earth?
Why would perfect beings bother to interact with each other?

Man made himself imperfect through the misuse of his own free will. The only imperfections that exist within the universe are the product of humanity's illusion of seperateness from the cosmic consciousness.

Why? Man brought his sins upon himself through disobedience. How is that God's fault? God gave Adam and Eve perfection personified in the Garden of Eden and they messed it up!

Human beings never have been, nor ever will be a perfect
lifeform. Our spirits come to this world because they want
to. To experience it. And only by overcoming silliness, and
exercising strength of mind. Will they be able to escape this world.
Spirit is MIND. And our spirits can go anywhere in Creation
just by thinking about it. We need to learn self-control. Our
Creator is a good Teacher. And a good teacher doesn't do
your homework for you.
