Christians say anyone not of their faith goes to hell.

Here what the Quran has to say: ""Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians -- whoever believes in God and the Last Day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord. And there will be no fear for them, nor shall they grieve" (2:62, 5:69, and many other verses)."

See how tolerant their Quran tells them to be of them?

Why not love everyone like you are supposed to instead of tell them they are going to hell and call them names?

Incidentally, I'm playing devil's advocate here since he is gone, as I am an atheist. Just wanted to find some thoughts on this.

Do you think it is possible to be a Zen Buddhist-Christian, a Christian-Taoist, or to use shamanic traditions with a more established religion? Can a Christian accept evolution as a reality without betraying his/her faith? If not, why not?

I have been searching about the origins of the twelve tribes of Israel. Of course, I imagine the first ones were the twelve sons of Jacob. But that changed after the death of Joseph and Levites were excluded. But my question is concerning the 12 jewels in the breastplate of the priests: sardius, topaz, emerald, turquoise, sahpphire, diamond, jacinth, agate, amethyst, beryl, onyx, and jasper. To what corresponding tribe do the respective jewels refer. Perhaps some Jewish Historian or Rabbi may know the answer. I am sincrely interested. I am not interested in any stupid wise crack answer that some of these creatures who climb out from behind their filthy rocks may come up with.

Yeah i am a mormon. Lets put it this way. There was a prophet on the earth when Christ was on earth right? there were revalations to come to adam, and moses, right? Well why would god want that for his people today? Doesn't that seem a little strange? I am not bashing on other religions, it's just that i follow a religion that makes sense. Just because my chuch is not as old or dates back farther like some churches, doesn't mean that it can't be true.

There obsession with religion and living only for religion turned me off to religion when I was in my youth. The relgious people I had unfortunately encountered in my past were obsessed with their religion and were not pleasant to be around. They seemed dillusional and not very happy. I felt bad for the kids of these fanatics who had to endure such people. Have you had experiences like this?

I have seen a a lot of people, Christians and non Christians alike on this site get angry when their positions are challanged or criticized, yet they have no qualms about making fun, criticizing or challenging other's beliefs. Isn't what's good for the goose good for the gander? or the pot calling the kettle black?

Christianity is a form of Judaism, you cannot debate this as the first Chistians were Jews who believed in Christ the messiah.
So why is there such a great divide between the two faiths? They have a common base but different interpretations.
Islam and Judaism do, i believe have a common base, hence the fact that Jerusalem is each respective faith's main holy city.

This in mind, how can Jews call Christians or Musilms infidels when they believe in the same god?

Coherent and specualtive answers welcome, single-minded religous propaganda is not.
I am not trying to promote one faith over another.

In an article titled "Christophobia: The elephant in the room," published in The Sierra Times, Marsha West writes
http://www.sierratimes.com/06/09/25/207_200_116_8_99098.htm

"Christian groups like the American Center for Law and Justice will work their tails off to get laws on the books that make it a hate crime to say anything derogatory about the Christian lifestyle, or to use the Lord’s name in vain. Mocking Jesus Christ in any way shape or form will require a public apology—or three—and may require jail time. Madonna could get life."

Think this will ever happen? Would you support such laws? Why? Why not?

Do you think people like Ms. West will ever understand how unreasonable and intolerant they are being?

Mormons and Catholics are the ONLY churches who proclaim to be true. The Pope recently stated, that they pretty much worshipped devils the other day. So i'll stick with the mormons.
What is your opinion on this. There are only TWO "true" churches. Mormons are in the lead for the TRUTH!!!!
