I understand what being both are. However i do not understand what that has to do with the question. Anyway, i digress.
Religion cannot tie people together neither can it bridge gaps that divide us. Religion is not as powerful as we think it is. It is just there to prevent us from thinking for ourselves as well as using reason to understand the true reality of what things are.
We give religion too much power.
We and only we can bridge the alleged gaps that exist, only we can tie ourselves.

Absolutely. The primary anthropological role of rituals seems to be to bond communities, whether it is directed toward a higher power or not. Religion helps create tighter cultures, more interdependent and more charitable toward each other, quite apart from spirituality. Likewise rituals can help distinguish one community from another and create prejudice against those outside the culture in question, leading to conflicts with other groups. However, the group that shares the single set of rituals will be socially stronger because of the rituals, even if it's just a secret handshake.

Rituals bind individuals together into a single group. The same rituals can join or isolate groups from each other. Spirituality need not be invoked to perceive this phenomenon.

Oh, I do hope so!
Many time I heard people say,"I hope for peace. I'm not religious, I'm a spiritual person."
But religious experience has to be the most spiritual experience. Religious person can be spiritual. So I hope at this point religion can inspire the people to unite over the differences.
But if religious people still believe that their religion ONLY is RIGHT and other people are WRONG, it will never happen.

I do not even like the word religion. I believe that Jesus came to earth to free us from religions, and to teach us to have a personal, life changing relationship with God.

We all are different. Jesus stays the same. So He is the lighthouse, we know where He stays. We should lean about love for one another. We should bury the hatchet...but not into backs of each other..

I understand what being both are. besides the very undeniable truth that i do no longer understand what that has to do with the question. besides, i digress. faith is merely no longer able to tie human beings at the same time neither can it bridge gaps that divide us. faith isn't as sensible as we imagine it truly is. it truly is slightly there to avert us from wondering for ourselves besides as using reason to understand the genuine truth of what themes are. we provide faith too plenty ability. We and actually we are able to bridge the alleged gaps that exist, in basic terms we are able to tie ourselves.

We use many things to justify human failings. But they are
just excuses.
Religion is the practical application of spiritual concepts into
our daily lives. It's purpose is to help us find peace of mind, and therefore allow us to live in peace with others.

Yes, the only religion I have found that is based on love and on Jesus' command 'You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind.'...'You must love your neighbor as yourself' (Mtt22:37-39). The only religion who does not support war or partake in war, who are united in their worship to God no matter what country or crede - Jehovah's Witnesses (and for the record - no I am not one of them).

Religion does a good job of dividing people, families, and countries and tearing them apart. So....no.

If everyone kept their religion to themselves I'm sure it could work but if they try converting each other or badmouthing the others religions, no. It couldn't work.
