I think people should care about get to know more about every religion in the world so we can live in peace with each other. Ignorance is a threat and people believing in media with out making questions is the most dangerous coz they are manipulated and dont even think about it...
Its a waste of brains.

What is the True ISlam???
That is what someone asked me. The answer is as long as it is short. The media shows Islam as a 'killing religion'. Internet shows both. Some sites project Islam as a religion of peace. Some as a religion of Voilence.
Who to believe?? I started reading the Quran for myself. N I have started gaining knowledge of a lot of my own. Sometimes, I think it depends on you and only you of how you WANT to see a reliegion as. ISlam dosn't have any thing against humanity, sceince, women.....or anything.

I agree. I'm an atheist and I do everything in my power to keep informed about the major religions. I've read the Bible in its entirety (multiple times, translations, etc...), I've read the three primary english interpretations of the Quran, I've studied the Talmud with quite a bit of enjoyment (The story of how Abraham dies is HILARIOUS -- and I mean that seriously, sucks that anyone dies but to watch the archangels and even death all fail to have the nerve to kill him is funny). I've read large portions of the Bagavhad Gita, I've studied ritual magick and various pagan paths (even served as Guardian for a particular circle).
Why is it that many religious people don't do the same? What's the harm in understanding the primary motivating drives of others?

Because we DO know so much about Islam is why there will never be peace. The media shows or tells us exactly what Islam does and even quotes their radical leaders. Do you know what naive means?

It's not so much the lack of anything other than the lack of open mindedness from Muslims.. I have made lots of comments, stated by lots of facts which I spent lots of time getting. But Muslims can't seem to see past the heaven and virgins to consider they may be on a one-way road to a verrrrrrry hot place.
