Baby's Baptism is this Sunday and I think it is proper that we give the Godparents a gift of some sort, right? Never done this before. Need some help on what would be meaningful and creative!

How about a personalized gift like a personalized frame or plaque. They have them at Personal Creations. There is also a $10 off coupon for them at http://www.juicycoupons.com/Gifts---Flowers/PersonalCreations-com-Coupons/index.html

Go to a Catholic bookstore and get a copy of the book, Augustine Day by Day. It is a book of quotes and prayers by St. Augustine for every day of the year. Following is what it has for today:

Undoubtedly, it is good that you request bodily health from God. If he knows that it is for your greater good, he will give it to you. If he does not give it, then it was not for your advantage.

God knows, therefore, what is better for us. Let us seek only that our heart be free from sin.

-- Sermon on John 7, 12

Prayer. Be a protecting God for me. I will not be saved unless it is in you. Unless you were my rest, my sickness would not be healed.

-- Commentary on Psalm 70 (1),

Hi,

A handmade portrait (Oil or other mediums) from a photo that you choose can be a very personal and unique gift.

Try: www.paintyourlife.com

I think you will like it and more important the gift receiver will love it!

Good luck

a nicely framed pic of their god child with them is best, it does solidify their commitment to your child.
