Then why do we say that Jesus and God are One. Are they one in the same or is there God the father, creator of the world and Jesus Son of God two separate figures? I was raised Catholic and have since gone to a Christian church. I am a little confused and not sure I understand. Thank you!

Jesus the Son and his Almighty Father are certainly *NOT* the same person. Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the Scriptures alone quite plainly demonstrate that Jesus and the Almighty are separate distinct persons, and the Almighty created Jesus as His firstborn son.

(Colossians 1:15) the firstborn of all creation

(Mark 10:18) Jesus said to him: 'Why do you call me good? Nobody is good, except one, God.

(Revelation 3:14) the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God

(Philippians 2:5-6) Christ Jesus, who, although he was existing in God's form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God

(John 8:42) Neither have I come of my own initiative at all, but that One sent me forth

(John 12:49) I have not spoken out of my own impulse, but the Father himself who sent me has given me a commandment as to what to tell and what to speak

(John 14:28) I am going my way to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am

(1 Corinthians 15:28) But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him

(Matthew 20:23) this sitting down at my right hand and at my left is not mine to give, but it belongs to those for whom it has been prepared by my Father

(1 Corinthians 11:3) I want you to know that the head of every man is the Christ; ...in turn the head of the Christ is God

(John 20:17) I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.

(Deuteronomy 6:4) Jehovah our God is one Jehovah

(1 Corinthians 8:4-6) There is no God but one. For even though there are those who are called "gods," whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many "gods" and many "lords," there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him

I want to say congratulations! u are smart person I really mean it.

U know? jews and muslims we believe in only one God who is not human at all, and is the same God. There was a missinterpretation made by christians and catholics, but God is still one, and trinity was invented by Constantine the emperor who used this rethoric to unite his empire.

So its such a big step this one that u do coz u are closer to the truth.

U know? Jesus is so important for us, and we love him so much, but becoz he was a beloved messanger of God. When God saw how people have distorted the history about Jesus, then he sent Quran to make the corrections. U might find ur self some day in the right path soon InshAllah.

God bless u and keep on making questions...

It was explained it to me like this: An apple has 3 parts the peel, the flesh and the core but it's still an apple. God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are all parts of the same being.

I have learned that there are things in life I don't have to understand, just accept the way they are.

They are one. God just put himself in Mary's womb so he could experience life as a human from the very beginning.
Now, as I have heard it put, and this makes sense to me:
You can be a Father, and a Son and have a soul right? Or Mother, Daughter, and have a soul, and still be one person...there isn't 3 of you.
That is why I don't believe in the Trinity. Plus...it's never ONCE mentioned in the Bible.

They ARE one in the same. Just ask God to help you understand---THREE in ONE--God, Jesus, and the HOLY SPIRIT.

I'm not trying to change what you believe, just LISTEN to me.
I am a Christian. And what I believe to be true is that the way to get to Heaven is through asking Jesus for forgiveness. Asking Jesus into your heart--God gives you the Holy Spirit--in your heart. You will feel convicted if you do something wrong, and NOT condemned--that's from satan, himself.

You can pray to God, in Jesus' name, and you feel the Holy Spirit at work in you to change you, giving you peace and joy , that comes from knowing Christ in your heart.

ANY questions you have, ASK God, OR Jesus, OR the Holy Spirit. God sends answers by other people, or cicumstances, or by your listening to the Holy Spirit.

When you feel that 'feeling' in you heart you will KNOW the Holy Spirit is guiding you.

Also---please talk to your pastor.

Christ himself said that he and the Father are one. He is the Word Of God, made man.

The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are an eternally inseparable triune God and family. This is why it is called the mystery of the Trinity.

It's the Trinity...

God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Someone wrote here yesterday: ice, water, steam. All the same with different functions.

They are not separate, they are one.

The first prophesy of the coming of Christ. Genesis
Reference: John 12:46
But I will when I come down from Heaven and become flesh of your descendants, and take on myself the infirmity from which you suffer, then the darkness that covered you, O Adam, in the cave shall cover me in the grave, when I am in the flesh of your descendants.
And I who am without years, shall be subject to your reckoning of years, of times, of months and days, and I shall be reckoned as one of the sons of man, in order to save you.
And God ceased to commune with Adam

Reference: John 6:25 and 7:38
And again in regards to the water of life you seek. It will not be granted you this day, Adam. But on the day I shall shed my blood on your head in the land of Golgotha. For my blood shall be the water of life at that time, and not to just you alone, but to all your descendants who believe in me. That it be for them to rest forever.

This is God speaking to Adam. God returned as Jesus Christ

According to the Bible (not that I believe it)...the lineage of David went down the years to Joseph, but if Mary was impregnated by god...then the blood of David was never in Jesus, thus negating the prophecies
