Religion & Spirituality - 12 September 2006

The Christian, Muslim and Jewish religions thing that the same God (the God of Abraham) made everything and then wrote down the rules. They all say God is good and that everythign he says is right. Is it really right? Is the really good? Maybe God being all powerful is just telling us it is right and good and what ability do we have to dissagree? He says do it or go to Hell, How do we know it is good. I don't think alot of what is said in any of these religions is right or good. What do you think?

why are you so logical? it goes against human nature to be so logical and to think things through. this is clearly demonstrated by the number of Xians in the USA. You are the minority, even though you are correct, do you not feel you are going against human nature, as the majority of humans believe in mumbo jumbo??

We are facing a unsecure situation , They say Iran have nukes is it a problem? will they shoot at other places if they were threten ? Syrea is shooting at US deligates. ? Iraq situation will stay for another couple of years. Uneducated Afgans are blasting other religous ancient monements. They say Islam is the pease , but in the name of Islam there are terror groups who want to blast westerners. Bring buildings down with hundreds of people in it. Is this funny thingee for muslims? Islam mosques shout loud and disturbing way for others to bring muslims to mosque. Usa did some stupid sh it like invading vietnam ones. For no reason. Everywere people get killed. World's valubal sourses get distroyed. Techonlogy is used for disaster not for the human sake. I'm getting f__king pis ed off here..fcuk Bil ladin and the 40ty thieves.

In revelation's 17-19 it sounds like 9-11 is being described. The prostitute that sits on the water: Statue of Liberty? The Great City of Babylon: NY? Iraq was once babylon but no more...read the scripture please "what once was is no more" The Tower receives DOUBLE the punishment so she can not be widowd? Tower Of modern day Bable? Merchants? Trades? The great city of all nations of the world? Thats Not Iraq , That sounds like us. Ships in the sea will look upon the city in smoke and cry oh great city what other city is like this? Merchants and trade will be affected? Dust apon there Heads? Then in REV:19 It sounds like The Muslums Cry Out To the Lord In praise for Vengence ummm Is'nt that exactly what happened in the Middle east? They celebrated In all arabic nations? In the Christian faith, one of the virtues is gentleness. How can we show gentleness in our lives and our walk with God? The same goes for peace. I'm not talking about what you expect out of others, but in your own life, how do you show gentleness and peace?

For those of other beliefs, what is your opinion about gentleness and peace and how would you exemplify it?

Philippians 4:4-6 (NIV)

hearsay is not evidence ...anyone can write whatever they like about someone they never met...the Bible is all hearsay.
There are no authentic independent contemporary accounts of Jesus anywhere outside the Bible. This points heavily to the fact that Jesus is a fictional story-book character existing only in the tampered with and sometimes totally faked writings in the Bible itself.

i work in a community where there are alot of jews..and i have notice..they buy alot of chocolate chips, why? they like to buy hard liqour, they have alot of facial hair(guys) their boys have curly long hair on the sides, they where this braided belts, girls/woman only wear long skurts. the woman always wear something to cover head/hair, and they usually got short hair, the guys are always waring black suits, and look mean and mad. and they only hang out with their own they even have their own dating site JLOVE.COM, what do they do for a living, why everything must be kosher for them????????

The teachings of Buddha had implied to me that humility is better than pride/ego. I apply this and see how it has made the road smoother. What I want to know is if assuming that I am not entirely sane and questioning my own senses is a form of humility. Or is it self-doubt?
