Please note: I have not declared myself a Christian, so any reference to the Holy Bible or Christianity is totally irrelevant.
This is not so much a 'religious' question -- but one of sexism.
WHY AREN'T MEN STONED TO DEATH FOR ADULTERY in ISLAMIC COUNTRIES?????
Any reference to my being American is stupid because I am Australian.

Anyone claiming that they stone men to death for adultery in this day and age....THEN PROVE IT BY POSTING A LINK with PHOTOGRAPHS and REPORTS of MUSLIM MEN being STONED TO DEATH.

Even if a government declares itself adherent to a particular theology, the government is still NOT the theology. I do not see a strong connection between the Iranian legal system and Islam in general. The leaders are fallible people and perfectly capable of mistakes, misunderstanding, and even deliberate misinterpretation.

Adultery in islam is punished by stoning to death, although this is not the common practice in most islamic countries. It applies to both men and women. If a country is only practicing the islamic rules against women only then that's unacceptable. The rules against adultery and other sins are the same for both women and men...infact they tend to be lineant towards women in certain cases.

The Saudi Arabia and Iran government and the religious scholars who believe that stoning to death punishment is Islam are wrong. I challenge them to talk to me to prove it right from Qur'an. These stoning to death punishment are taken from Old Testament and are included in the hadith books (Sunni Shias Talmud). Stoning to death punishment is cruel wrong and un Islamic.
I unfortunately can't say this openly in public in Saudi Arabia Iran or any Sunni Shia dominated country because they will charge me with blasphemy and my punishment will be death another Old Testament law imported into Islam from Judaism.

Stoning to death for adultery in islam is prescribed for both men and women, if Iran is stoning only women, then they dont apply this islamic rule as they should.

How do you justify your faith when American soldiers are destroying houses and killing innocent people (by mistake or intentionaly) in Iraq? You can't generalized the whole community just becuase of some stupid individual's wrongdoing.
