why are you so logical? it goes against human nature to be so logical and to think things through. this is clearly demonstrated by the number of Xians in the USA. You are the minority, even though you are correct, do you not feel you are going against human nature, as the majority of humans believe in mumbo jumbo??

I don't believe that being logical goes against human nature.

I believe that human beings have both a natural instinct to be logical and illogical.

Therefore, there is nothing wrong with Atheists. Some might argue that a belief in God is reached through logical reasoning. If you are correct, and being logical goes against human nature, then surely there is something wrong with these people too.

The question should be what's wrong with you? Thinking logical is a part of every human being on this planet. Or are you going stand there and claim you don't think logical.

Being an atheist jsut means they don't think there's a higher power/being. What's wrong with that? To each his own, no?

You're the one talking mumbo jumbo.

Logic - The study of the principles of reasoning, especially of the structure of propositions as distinguished from their content and of method and validity in deductive reasoning.

Yes, us atheists are logical. We've made a reasoned decision not to believe in any "mumbo jumbo".

I don't like to think like that, rather that I have made a choice that is personal for me and I have my own reasons for making it that have nothing to do with being logical. As for going against human nature, I don't think making a choice about your beliefs, or lack of them is going against that in any way. Ever heard of the saying "Black Sheep". Well think of us as the beautiful black sheep in your snow white flock. We are not freaks, we're just different from you. Maybe if you stop bagging us you might understand that we just want us and our lack of belief in a power higher than humans and life in general to be left alone to enjoy ourselves in peace and quiet.

Look at the world. If it was designed by an omnipotent God, why did he build in all the conflict and suffering. Do not say 'Free Will' as He would have set the parameters of free will. If there is an all -powerful God, He has constructed the world for his own sadistic entertainment so I prefer to ignore him.

Thats ok over in Europe there are more of us than them ; P

it is hard to go against the current though, especially when they are knocking on your doors with booklets, condemning you for not believing, and getting offended when we try to change the pledge of alliegence back to what it was originally, without any religious input

people believe in religions through nurture, not nature and it is certainly human nature to be logical. human beings have always been problem solvers since cavemen made tools and weapons out of their surroundings
