"God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
"Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved ..."
1. Christ died for our sins, as the Scriptures foretold
2. He was buried
3. He was raised on the third day, as the Scriptures foretold
4. He shall return and destroy Death.

Christianity, gospel means "good news". Received opinion holds that the word gospel derives from the Old English god "good", and spell "news", a translation of the Greek word εÏ
αγγÎλιον, euangelion (eu good, -angelon message) (from this word comes the term "evangelist"). However, the word corresponding to "good" in Old English had a long vowel, and would normally develop into a MnE *goospel, leading some scholars to hold that the Old English term was not a translation of the Greek "good news," but rather a fresh coinage, "message concerning God." [citation needed]
Gospel has generally been used in three ways:
To denote the proclamation of God's saving activity in Jesus of Nazareth or to denote the message proclaimed by Jesus of Nazareth. This is the original New Testament usage (for example Mark 1:14-15 or 1 Corinthians 15:1-9, see also Strong's G2098).
More popularly to refer to the four canonical Gospels, which are attributed to the Four Evangelists: (Gospel of Matthew, Gospel of Mark, Gospel of Luke and Gospel of John); and sometimes other non-canonical works (eg. Gospel of Thomas), that offer a narrative of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus.
Some modern scholars have used the term to denote a hypothetical genre of Early Christian literature (cf. Peter Stuhlmacher, ed., Das Evangelium und die Evangelien, Tübingen 1983, also in English: The Gospel and the Gospels).

The Gospel is the Word of God. The Holy Bible. The whole thing, not one particular message. Read it, it's awesome!

The Gospel is the Good News that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, Came to die for our sins. We have all sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God, according to the Bible (scripture).
We needed a Saviour and Father God provided one through his son Jesus.
If you want a personal relationship with God himself, you must realize that you are a sinner first and that you need God. The Bible says the only way to God is through Jesus. You must accept by faith that Christ came, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, was crucified and after he died for us, he rose again, from the dead and is alive today with the Father in Heaven.
He did this all for us, so we would not have to be separated from God for being sinful. We can have eternal life by accepting Jesus as saviour. He is an awesome God and will carry you through this life into the next.
I would recommend you seek him. The Bible says "seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be opened to you". Go to a Bible believing church (Baptist, Church of God, Assemblies of God to name some).
Seek the Lord and repent (meaning to turn away from sin). You can pray today and ask him to forgive your sins, come into your heart and life, and give you a new life. He will. Then go to church and learn of him.
That is Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ.

The gospel is considered to be "good news".
The gospel is found in REV.14:6-12
"AND I SAW ANOTHER ANGEL FLY IN THE MIDST OF HEAVEN, HAVING THE EVERLASTING GOSPEL TO PREACH UNTO THEM THAT DWELL ON THE EARTH, AND TO EVERY NATION, AND KINDRED, AND TONGUE, AND PEOPLE, SAYING WITH A LOUD VOICE, FEAR GOD AND GIVE GLORY TO HIM; FOR THE HOUR OF HIS JUDMENT IS COME: AND WORSHIP HIM THAT MADE THE EARTH, AND THE SEA, AND THE FOUNTAINS OF WATER." = REV.14:6-7.
This leads back to the 4th commandment found in EXOD.20:8-11. This is the commandment which people are sinning against; they void it like the plague by saying it is no longer valid!
"REMEMBER THE SABBATH DAY, TO KEEP IT HOLY. SIX DAYS SHALT THOU LABOR AND DO ALL THY WORK. BUT THE SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH OF THE LORD THY GOD: IN IT THOU SHALT NOT DO ANY WORK, THOU, NOR THY SON, NOR THY DAUGHTER, THY MANSERVANT, NOR THY CATTLE, NOT THY STRANGER THAT IS WITHIN THY GATES: FOR IN SIX DAYS THE LORD MADE HEAVEN AND EARTH, THE SEA, AND ALL THAT IN THEM IS, AND RESTED THE SEVWENTH DAY: WHEREFORE THE LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH DAY, AND HALLOWED IT." = EXOD.20:8-11.
*************************************************************
The Anti-Christ is the "lawless one"; the "man of sin" which "opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped..." 2Thess.2:3-4
DANIEL 7:25 tells us "HE SHALL SPEAK GREAT WORDS AGAINST THE MOST HIGH, AND SHALL WEAR OUT THE SAINTS OF THE MOST HIGH, AND THINK TO CHANGE TIMES AND LAWS..."
ROM.1:25 = "WHO CHANGED THE TRUTH OF GOD INTO A LIE, AND WORSHIPPED AND SERVED THE CREATURE MORE THAN THE CREATOR, WHO IS BLESSED FOR EVER. AMEN."
What part of the law did the Papacy change?

GENERAL CATHOLIC CATECHISM
http://www.angelfire.com/sc/YJesusCame/page4.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ten_Commandments
Evidence: (Catholics know when the seventh day is)
"1. Is Saturday the 7th day occording to the Bible & the 10 Commandments.
"I answer yes.
"2. Is Sunday the first day of the week & did the Church change the 7th day--Saturday---for Sunday, the 1st. day:
"I answer yes.
"3. Did Christ change the day
"I anser no! Faithfully yours,
"J. Card. Gibbons"
--Gibbon's Autograph letter.
"Ques.--Which is the Sabbath day?
"Ans.--Saturday is the Sabbath day.
"Ques.--Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday?
"Ans.--We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday."--Peter Geiermann, The Convert's Catechism of Catholic Doctrine (1946 ed.), p.50. Geiermann received the "apostolic blessing" of Pope Pius x on his labors, Jan.25,1910.
Bible Readings pg.194.
"Of course the Catholic Church claims that the change was her act...And the act is a Mark of her ecclesiastical authority in religious things." ---H.F. Thomas, Chancellor of Cardinal Gibbons.
Note: Catholics even changed the time you do the Sabbath too. They say "midnight to midnight"; when the Bible says "evening to evening" according to Genesis 1:5,8,13,19,23,31 and Lev.23:32.
So to say if you worship Sunday; you're worshipping the beast(the creature; sun god) of Rev.13:18.
see REV.13:3,11; 14:8-11; 17:1-5,9; 18:3-4.
Yes many people argue about this; the point is clear if you look up Sunday in the Encyclopedia; it is of pagan origin. If you look up Sabbath in Encyclopedia, dictionaries, calendar; it always tells us from Friday evening to Saturday Even is the Sabbath--that is Saturday. The gospel helps us to point out the true worship from the false worship. It points out that we should worship God on the right day. (JOHN 4:22-24; HEB.3:18-19; 4:1-11; 2PET.2:21).
