have you always believed, or did something happen to make you believe?

I was a doubter, until a near death experience- I was crossing a street, and a pick up came barreling right at me, out of nowhere, it seemed. Just as suddenly, something I couldn't see just pushed me out of the path of the truck.

It was like I was picked up and just thrown several feet, out of the way of the speeding truck. If that wasn't someone trying to tell me something, I don't know what is.

NEPOLEAN BONAPARTE,
I hope the time is not far off when I shall be able to unite all the wise and educated men of all the countries and establish a uniform regime based on the principles of Qur'an which alone are true and which alone can lead men to happiness.

that its not okay to call our president, celebrities or other personalities that the "worldians" hate as stupid or other mean names. I'm not saying we have to like these people, im just saying the extreem bashing ( for instance, what paris hilton and bush get) is very wrong. Imagine what jesus will ask you once we enter heaven,
why do we bash people we dont know?

disagree, but dont bash. Its sooo easy to fall into that trap since everyone hates these people without actually knowing them.

peace and G-d bless.
just my thought for the day.

(sorry for atrocious spelling!!)

Just a fun question for everyone

I used to work at a fire department, and we had a person call in late one night, about how he was being chased by demons. There were 6 of them, and he had locked one in a closet, and killed another with an axe, but he needed help with the rest. Was this man really chased by demons or was this all due to the crack that was found on scene?

How many people do you think that are not saved by the blood of Jesus will be left behind and will stand here in confusion and dismay and the fact that it was all true? Will they then start to live right? Will they give their lives to God? Or will the disbelief continue? God says that only few will enter the gates of Heaven during the rapture.... ummmm...Just a thought?

A lot of Atheist refute the validity of the bible because it's made by man. However, if they don't believe in a higher power then wouldn't that mean that all their beliefs and knowledge come from man made books and theories? Wasn't science created by man? So, what makes science so much more valid than the bible if both are made by man? I mean, just because someone mixed some chemicals together and said it means this, what makes that so much more believeable? It seems to me like all of us, Christian and Atheist alike, are followers. So, can you help me to understand the difference?

I notice this is one of the most asked questions on this site. My question is why? The lines are drawn and neither side seems to care what the other has to say. Are people just unable to accept this or are they looking for a fight?

Why do you always tell those of us who do not believe in Jesus to Read? Most of us DO read, and it has led us to question and/or reject this story. Many of you seem only to read one book. If you read some others, you might understand the world around yu a bit better.

Let's say you meet a satanist. Would respect that person's beliefs? Would you associate with them? Would their belief system deter you from being friendly with said person? Just curious...

These are quotes from people of many religion recognizing the virtues of Buddhism. We cannot be accused of worshipping false gods because we worship none, we simlpy live a life of kindness. I have had my religion insulted by many people of these 4 religions

"The mission of the Buddha was quite unique in its character, and therefore it stands quite apart from the many other religions of the world. His mission was to bring the birds of idealism flying in the air nearer to the earth, because the food for their bodies belonged to the earth.” — Hazrat Inayat Khan (Islam)

"Scholars have often considered the possibility that Buddhism influenced the early development of Christianity. They have drawn attention to many parallels concerning the births, lives, doctrines, and deaths of the Buddha and Jesus" (Bentley, "Old World Encounters") (Christianity/Judaism)

"Of all the persons that have walked on this earth, I have the greatest regard for Gautama Buddha." Satyendra Nath Bose (Hindu)

I have noticed something here on yahoo answers from people. There are some people who are suggesting that there are human footprints in dinosaur footprints and asking "Atheists" to explain that.

Now to me, an Agnostic, the answer is pretty obvious, Dinosaurs went extinct 65 million years ago and homo sapiens didn't arrive on the scene until about 300,000 years ago. A footprint is not evidence scientifically to suggest species were contemporaries.

So my question is, are people who ask this, do they really think Dinosaurs were contemporaries of people? Why do they think that?

Is this a manipulation of some NOT ALL denominations in the United States of America, a brain washing of sorts on children's minds?

Is this the fault of science educators?

I went to Catholic School grades 6-12 and learned The Theory of Evolution.

I'd love to hear explainations or interpretations of 1 Corinthians 11:10, "For this reason, and because of the angels, the woman ought to have a sign of authority on her head."

What is the sign of authority? And "because of the angels"? What does this mean?
