When you were a little child, did you know what you were getting baptized for? I don't think you did, you were a child, you were an innocent. When you were old enough to understand what baptism means then you were old enough, It doesn't matter the age, you could be 30 and still not understand. YES, I THINK IT IS WRONG TO BAPTIZE a child, they are innocent, they don't need it, we adults do. And do not get baptized just because, it is the in thing to do, every one else is doing it. You be baptized for the right reason,,,,, and that is GOD the FATHER is pulling you to his dear son JESUS CHRIST for salvation and eternal life in Heaven with him and all the saints. I really hope this will help you in some way, I am truly sincere.

Once a child have been brainwashed it will stick with them their entire life. It puts a block on their ability's to grow. Their open mindedness is gone forever. I am unsure if that can be reversed complete. This is the same thing you get when you put a child in a terrorist training camp. They only hear how bad a group of people are and that god is great and they should make war for their god. After years of hearing this and being readied to kill them self's for their god while killing others they believe this is why they are really here on earth.

This is why I feel that religion should be viewed the same as sex is currently viewed. And should be kept in the bedroom of adults and not be taught to a child 'til that child reaches 18 years of age. At that age a person should be strong minded enough to make up their own minds.

You have alot of anger.....believe me, the real Jesus would not have pressured you....he would have just loved you, and you would have automatically given yourself to Him..... the bible predicts that in the last days, that there would be a great falling away in the church. People's hearts would turn cold, and there would be much ungodliness. I enourage you to seek the Lord on your own, and do not depend on self righteous, dishonest people in churches.....the Lord is calling his elect out of churches like you describe. What is important is that you know your Lord for who He is, and not go by false standards set by people.....there has been damage, but He is faithful to heal our wounds...He predicted 2000 years ago that he was coming for a remnant, not the whole group. Give the God who made you and loves you a chance....and do not let yourself be influenced by hypocrites who have abandoned Him, and are out for self gain. You will spend eternity somewhere. I encourage you to spend it with the God who loves you, and would welcome you back to Himself.

it sounds like you were already damaged. church didn't do that. you have to accept JESUS as YOUR SAVIOR to be saved. and that decision is made as a adult. if you had died when you were a child then you would have been saved because children don't stand in judgement. but since you are still here you need JESUS to be saved. i'm sorry you feel so angry. please ask JESUS into your heart so you can know peace. if you deceide not to that is your business. stop talking about what you don't believe, it doesn't make sense to.

A saved person dont talk like this, i doubt you ever accepted christ because more than likely you were too young to even understand the plan of salvation. In order to be saved you have to be at the age of reson to understand what sin is and what god did to allow you overcome it

It is called indoctrination. Funny how the Christian church uses it but heavily criticises other religions that do the same.

Religion should be a choice made of free will when the person is old enough to make their own decision. Christians will not except this because they know full well that people who are old enough to think properly for themselves will see right through religion.

This is simply nothing other than child abuse!!!

T,

I can't even make out what you're saying here. What was the question? It sounds like you're stating a different account of your experience with Christianity than the one you states not twenty minutes ago in another question.

It sounds like man failed you. That is no surprise, we are human. God has something more. You were to put your faith in God, not the people at your church. This is why God tells us in the Bible to not put our faith in man, but in Him.
