The love of money is the root of all evil. Keep away from that stuff. So I always know that that's one weakness of ministers that usually takes them out of the harness of God, is money. So "Love of money is the root of all evil." I TIMOTHY 6:10. Not money but the Love for it. Because we are asked to love God above everything and when something else takes that place...that is the root of all evil. No doubt if the streets are paved of gold in heaven all those who love God will make it there but those who love money or riches more than gold will not be there because there will be nothing evil in heaven. Do not forget that gold represents deity and God's holiness. At the birth of Jesus one of the gifts that was presented to Him was gold because He was a King. But, there is a gold of God. I Peter 1:7.
"That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth."
The gold of God is a Christ-like character produced in the fiery furnace of affliction. That is the right kind of gold.

No. And the verse says "the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil." Why? Because people want it, trust it and desire it more than they do God. In heaven the saints will no longer struggle with sin. They will see clearly that God, and not "gold", is to be trusted and worshiped above all other things.

Don't be ridiculous. It is the love of money that is the root of all evil. There is no evil in heaven because there is no evil in God. God will not allow sin in his kingdom. You are taking an earthly application and trying to transpose it on heaven---that is mixing apples and oranges.

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has donated over $25 BILLION dollars to charity, and Bill Gates is still filthy rich.

money is not the root of all evil, the actual quote is " the LOVE of money is the root of all evil" but in actuality, since responsible use of money creates jobs, houses, feeds, clothes and heals people it's the abuse of money that is the root of all stupidity.
