"The eternal word of God" being the ruler of the universe with great power and glory chose to became a humble servant named Jesus Christ, therefore was insulted, abused, humilated, and crucified because of his love for us!! What does this tell us about God's love?

When I read the bible, it seems to me that Jesus never put himself above us. He even said, "the works that I do you shall do also, and even greater works." It seems to me then, instead of a rigid doctrine, Jesus was offering us a way or a path to become like him - in other words to Be the Christ. What do you think?

Why all the questions on religion and Christianity. Please don't misunderstand I am not offended. This is only for the non-christians who have asked intelligent questions. Many of the questions by non-Christians have been thought provoking and intelligent. Many have made me research my bible and that actually gave me a blessing. Afterall, christians have to be prepared to answer questions about the Bible, right? However, it also seems the askers are not asking because they are seeking but to disprove God. What motivates you to spend that kind of time. I think homosexuality is a sin but I don't spend any time asking questions in that catorgory. I don't spend the time trying to get them to convert. Not that I don't care, I don't think it would be effective. So, my question is to those who ask good questions....why are you seeking answers to biblical questions if you don't believe in the bible? Do you think you need to disprove God? Is it your form of "witnessing"?

FYI: My father is a JW. To shut them up, just ask them "Who created god?".. Nothing will make them run away from you faster.

Which soul would he save? I know most theists are allergic to hypotheticals, but I want to know how much you think Jesus loves you. Would he feel more duty toward God than you, if your souls were on the line...? Say, the loser goes to Hell for eternity. (Personally, I think if God saw fit to create a place of torture, then create beings who will be tortured, He deserves to go there.)

"Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who has said it, not even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense."

"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it."

I respect people and there beliefs but as an atheist do question them, so when you see the bagman giving your religion a hard time understand it's not personel I just enjoy debating from different sides, so if god is all powerful where is he then?

What would he want you to say (is what I imagine you are thinking)? I would die on the cross to be Jesus, son of God, savior of a grateful Heaven full of people, in a heartbeat. Many people die worse deaths, some at the hands of humans, some by "God's" hand (cancer etc...). Jesus is the luckiest guy EVER!!!

Only turning to god when they need something... Claiming they can ignore god's rules because they are under "grace."

If we do not have free will, the all our sins were generated by God. If this is the case, why did Jesus have to die on the cross? And why are unrepentant sinners sent to hell?

I am interested in the miracles that it is said Jesus preformed in the Bible. Are their any sources outside the Bible that I can compare it to? Or are their any people alive today that claim descended from the original witnesses of Jesus miracles that have an oral tradition of what they saw.

Ps please dont quote Josephus that because that source has been seriously discredited

I recently went to a prayer service unintentually because I just went to a friend's house and there it was, in her living room. Anyway, it had actually people tell real stories of how their faith has helped them and stuff. I paid more attention there then at actually church. I was just wondering, do you find a priest or an actually person more convincing?

Hello!

I am researching Mormonism, and I have 6 questions....Looking for members of the LDS church.

I am not trying to attack anyone, I am trying to be as objective as possible, and a book of Mormon is in the mail. However, I am a christian.

It won't let me post all the questions with the references here(too long)...So I posted them online at www.allaboutjoshua.com or http://joshuafkon.googlepages.com/questi...

Thank you very much for your help,

God bless,

Josh

P.S. (1) undoubtably some people are going to think I am attacking Mormonism, I am not, but I am tired of defending myself against those who believe that, I have made every effort to be fair, and if you wish to believe I am only "attacking" that is your right.

(2) I am looking for answers to these questions, not "faith" so please don't tell me to pray about it, (been there, done that,)

(3) I already have the links to lds.org, jefflinsay.com, FAIR,FARMS etc..and I
