Is faith-based thinking really a potentially dangerous mental disease?

I'm not suicidal, I just have a very strong feeling that my life is about to end. I think it's all about to come to an end and I don't know why.

I was wondering. Does anyone know how many people that they are in the Bible? Or even an estimate?

He confessed to the crimes and knew details which were not open to the general public. He is in Thialand now and is being re-routed to Colorado to stand trial. No more news at this time.

where is there proof that Jesus was in America except for what is written in the Book of Mormon? Why would God destroy all of the people on the continent which is now America and not leave any EVIDENCE that he was there? One more question: Have you ever thought that John 10:16 can be described as:The other sheep are Gentiles who will be saved later. (Is.42:6, 56:8; Ephesians 2:13-18).
WE ARE TO BE THE ONES WHO GO AND GATHER THE SHEEP!
proof that he did NOT go to the America's.
Matthew 28:19
Go ye therefore and teach all nations baptizing them in the name of the father, son, and holy ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you and lo I am with you always even until the end of the world.

Jesus told us in this verse that he is sending US to witness to others THROUGH HIM, and he STATES that he will be WITH us, AS THE HOLY SPIRIT.

I'm a healthy, happily married atheist with 2 beatiful healthy, smart, wonderful children. I have a great job and everything has gone very well for me in my life. I have no need or urge to find Jesus. I see terrible things happening to praying, devout Christians every day. How can I be so happy and satisfied without Jesus/God.
Please don't tell me I'm going to hell when I die. I'm not 5 years old, so that doesn't really scare me ( I don't believe in hell,)

Fellow Christians. If you have accepted our Lord Christ,
repay him back for what he did for you. He died in Cross for you being tormented and tortured and humiliated.
Repay him back my brothers. It's better to avoid sex completely. You will burn but you will burn for Jesus Christ--you will burn to pure gold. Repression of sex is like prayer and sacrifice to our Lord. Avoid temptation--not even look at or talk with women, if you are unmarried. If u have sex before marriage then in Gods eyes u are married to that person if a man rapes a woman in Gods eyes they are married.
Most women today are transvestites and abominations.
So, it's better not to even marry.
Please dress like a man if you are a man and dress like a woman if you are woman and stop flaunting your satanic lifestyle and defiance of God.

There’s no doubt whatsoever that Atheists and non-believers are the more intelligent human species amongst the crowd, but if Atheists keep getting more intelligent, will they eventually become Gods themselves?

Why if God worked something out and it was so obvious that it was God and you had peace and felt like it was the right thing, would you suddenly start feeling down and anxious about it...almost like maybe God was saying it wasn't ment to be? That seems really crazy...it doesn't seem like something God would do. What else could it be?

2 Corinth 5:16

16Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

2 John 1:6-8

6And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

7For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

8Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

.....destined for hell? I'm a christian and I believe that while God gives us free will he still knows whats going to happen. But I was thinking about something today. Sense he knows whats going to happen, why does he create something that he knows is destined for hell? I'm not meaning all that he creates is, but some are. I know nobody will know this answer for sure because thats impossible, I'm just looking for opinions. Thanks!

What do you think about the answers religious people gave to this question:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Atltv_xbLJZcp8nSKZnseR_sy6IX?qid=20060816134728AA7ZwAm

My initial impression is that there seemed to be a trend of some, not all, of the religious people who seem to think that these two hypothetical love birds can't function a day without God.

So, to the Atheists and Agnostics, do we have an "image problem"? Or is these answers just typical of fundamentalist sheeple?

I know we are supposed to stay away from false religions and not fall away ect but is it wrong to befriend a bisexual pagan? She is nice and doesn't practice witchcraft but she's a openly bisexual pagan. I know some of the non-religous things she does are bad like lets her friends smoke pot, if I can't be her friend then what can I do? How do I convert her, she's got a good heart she is just confused and misunderstanding, also she says she has nothing wrong with Christianity? But she's had bad expieriences with some churches and Christians that have turned her away more. I also don't want to insult her or tell her she's wrong that is mean and will only turn her off more.

why must everybody slap a disclaimer on the end of there questions, the only person who doesn't do it is the what should i do retard, it's not like you are going to burst into flames from being politically incorrect, people are going to get insulted no matter what, you may as just say whats on your mind and quit being a bunch of pansies, just ask your question, no disclaimer, if it's an insulting question you will get called on it, but your question will still be answered. really, you may not even meet anybody on here in real life, so what do you care if they are insulted. so quit this, oh i'm just curious i don't mean to be insulting sh!t and ask the fu(king question

J/k
But I was thinking, by telling people they were chosen, maybe it was initially meant to be an act of confidence boosting. If you think you can contribute, maybe you will start.
Does seem like the concept got out of hand a little bit.
Hmm...Any comments, opinions..or just plain comedic sarcasm.
