No, Satan isn't even close to God in power or anything. God is eternal, Satan was created.

Satin is not God. God has always been. God Created Satin. Not as the evil being we know him as. Before Satin was evil he was a powerful angel. Then oneday he decided he wanted to be like God. God Kicked him out of Heven with all of his followers(demons). Today Michael One of God's Most powerful angels is Leading the battle against Satin. At the end of time satin will face the rath of God and be thrown into an Eternal lake of Fire. All the believer's won't have to worry about this because we will be safe in Heave Worshiping God.

Satan and the devil are a creation of christianity. All beings have a potential to be evil. It is free will that stops us from doing what we know is wrong. Often it is the easy route that is the evil one. It is easier to steal than work for the things you want in life. Evil is one part of everyone of us, a part that should be fought against.

Satan is an angel that was named Lucifer, He was an Angel of the Highest order, Lucifer meanes-light-bearer. Lucifer was beautiful and wise, but, became arrogant and considered himself greater than God and plotted to over take Heaven so God cast him out of Heaven and into hell.
