No one person invented God in the same way that no one person invented the alphabet.
It came about as a series of gradual modifications of existing ideas over many generations.
God wasn't created, he evolved.
Individual contributors didn't necessarily derive material benefit in their lifetimes. Among other problems, international copyright laws in the Neolithic ages sucked, and continued to do so right up to the Classical period.
Sometimes a preist with an exciting or popular new theological insight got a lot of fame and wealth out of the bargain, Luther and Calvin for example, but more often the benefits such that they were went to the leaders of the religion.
In that sense, the "heirs" to the creators of god are collectively one of the richest and most powerful classes of people in the world.
The Catholic church alone possesses many Billions of dollars in property worldwide.

No one created God. He is the creator. He was before any mortal man. He created man in likeness to his image. God is the creator of all things. Through him, you are given the power over sin. Without God, we are nothing. There is nothing before God. God was the beggining, is the present, and is the future. Even after man is no more. This world will pass away, but the words of the Lord will never pass away. We were born into rejection of Christ. But with rejecting Christ, we are sinners. But with God. THERE IS EVERYTHING. God is not only the creator, but he is also the one that will decide your eternal judgement. You only decide how you will live. God will choose what he will do with you after you make your choice. You will either be with him or you will burn in repent of your sin. Choose the way that you will live to be of God, and you will be defended by the word of Christ.

Why are you wasting your time posting questions like this here? Show a bit of respect for people who happen to have beliefs different to yourself. And evolution is just as much a faith-based system as intelligent design is.

The material is too old so there's no copyright infringement. Its the same as Shakespeare. Poor William never even got residuals and he wrote better material than the bible.
Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell are rich enough pushing this BS.

Abraham was listed as the first founding father. Does that mean he was the first to 'spread the word'?
According to what he got from some Pharaoh and some desert king for lying about his sister/wife, quite a lot.

The big money is in the religion.
Look at the pope!
The tele-evangelists.
Even the leader of the smallest sect does alright, compared to the members.
Get in there! Make money.

Whoever it was should have applied for a patent to stop all the other newer religions from having one too! He could have sued them and made a buck out of that too!

An Iranian named Zarathushtra who lived around 1,200BC. His concepts of a monotheism was the building blocks for Judaism, Islam, and subsequently Christianity. As to whether he got rich from his ideas, dunno, however a lot of people have made a lot of money and gained a lot of power by copying his work.

No one invented god, but if god was invented it was by some lunatic who believed in him and was therefore not going to profit off of him.
