where is there proof that Jesus was in America except for what is written in the Book of Mormon? Why would God destroy all of the people on the continent which is now America and not leave any EVIDENCE that he was there? One more question: Have you ever thought that John 10:16 can be described as:The other sheep are Gentiles who will be saved later. (Is.42:6, 56:8; Ephesians 2:13-18).
WE ARE TO BE THE ONES WHO GO AND GATHER THE SHEEP!
proof that he did NOT go to the America's.
Matthew 28:19
Go ye therefore and teach all nations baptizing them in the name of the father, son, and holy ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you and lo I am with you always even until the end of the world.

Jesus told us in this verse that he is sending US to witness to others THROUGH HIM, and he STATES that he will be WITH us, AS THE HOLY SPIRIT.

There have been other questions like this one posted here recently, you may want to do a search on it. Where does it say all the people on the continent were destroyed? Besides, the Book of Mormon did not occur in the entire N. American and S. American Continents, but in a more exclusive part of the area. Parts of Central America and Mexico have been mentioned. As far as John 10:16, you need to read the entire e verse, it says "Other sheep I have which are not of this fold, they also I must bring AND THEY SHALL HEAR MY VOICE and there shall be one fold and one shepherd." They were to hear his voice. The disciples of Christ did go unto the nations they knew about, but not ones they didn't. Also, Christ was among the house of Israel, not among the gentiles. The Book of Mormon was written by a remnant of the house of Israel, and thus he went to gather them. Nowhere in the Bible does it say Christ went among the Gentiles. You're correct that he sent his disciples and he sends us to declare the gospel. But he went among those of the house of Israel, including those in the Americas.

The other flock cannot be the gentiles. Jesus told the Gentile woman "I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. " The other flock was to hear the "voice"of Jesus, not his disciples.
