Alot of conservative christians wear long skirts...is it more modest?

Long skirts are more "modest" than pants, because they restrict a womans movements. Women started wearing pants 'cause it was easier to get around on the farm and do other work; but they were not perceived as ladies. And, were probably raped for it.

Conservative Christian women wear skirts/dresses to accentuate their gender roles, not their bodies. It's the length that makes it modest. A woman in pants can never be modest because she becomes equal with man.

Skirts. They both cover the same amount of flesh. Pants would not be considered modest because they show more of the body's form. Skirts, on average, do not shape to your body.

Yes, it is most modest. Orthodox Jewish women and Orthodox Muslim women also wear long skirts. I know I feel much better and more modest when I wear one, and I usually do. At least, fairly long.

Modesty is an attitude. One of humility and consideration.
If I do, say, or wear such a thing will it cause others to see or think about me in an inappropriate way?
