Jesus will be back for us someday. Get to know Him now. God desires a relationship with you. Instead of worrying about graphic sex questions why not question your future. Where will you spend eternity? John 3:16

Sometimes i have a hard time figuring out if i'm hearing God's voice or just me or the devil. If God is speaking to us isn't it going to be subtle and isn't it going to bring relief and peace? What if it just continues to make you feel down, anxious and confused? Would that still be God or Satan or maybe just fears and too many thoughts? I experience this a lot and it has only made me very, very confused and anxious. Also i have talked to many respected Christian friends and they really don't think God speaks to us like that. What do you think?

back up why you may feel this way. Also don't you find this to be just ludacris, and selfish. I mean look at Heroshima, don't you think it was the end time for them, and look at all the starving in Africa, don't you think that they are in the end times and have been for some time now. Get real, the world is far from ending, this notion is just for people that want it to end so they can escape this harsh reality of real life.

god is supposed to be omnipotent, omnipresent and omnicient, so why did he have to sacrifice himself (his son-triune deity right!) to himself in order to correct a mistake (original sin) that he, himself made (he created man and would have forseen original sin).

Doesn't add up does it?

this is a real problem, a real big problem, religion, ideals, beliefs, etc. etc. all this most people just follow blindly because on the surface the sh*t may seem to be good but hey we all know that religions are f*cked up and for the most part they only cause problems, and probably what you will say after me saying that goes as follows, "we'll imagine a world without religion, imagine a world of nothing but athiest and whatnot" but look i'm not saying that's what i want because that would suck, yes? all i'm saying is that truth is all we need, not some book, not some crazy mans ideals and beliefs regardless how nice they seem, all one needs is truth, so believe in nothing unless it agrees with you and what you believe to be true. By the way, i do believe in the maker, the creator, but he's not jesus and he's not apart of any single religious sect. He's just GOD, and that's where i leave it. You know what i mean?

is there scripture that supports the phrase, 'god helps those who help themselves'?

i've heard it a thousand times, and was just wondering if someone made it up, or if it is biblical.

Just asking, sometimes the simplest questions can open up the gateway to other peoples trains of thoughts, their minds their hearts, their indoctrinations into what words mean, maybe a venture and a peek at their soul.

Consider this, a "thought expiriment"; because obviously we know this happens in the real world every day.

Let's give these two people hypothetical identities. One is a man, the other is a woman. The man is 34, the woman is 30. Both do not believe in God.

So, in that hypothetical situation, what happens when they fall in love?

My own observation and analysis of the various posters on Yahoo Answers clearly reveals that Atheists are without any doubt, far more intelligent, thought provoking, and capable of holding sensible debate compared to their religious counterparts.

My private research studies indicate that religious people tend to be below average intelligence, and also have a tendency to be more violent than non-believers. This also seems to be supported by profiling various YA religious posters.

Science suggests that religion is a mental illness and that religious people act irrationally because they are genetically predisposed to the “religious or spiritual” gene. Statistics indicate that the higher your education, income, and intelligence, the more likely you are not to believe in a god.

In general terms, this summarises as Atheists are intelligent and religious people suffer from madness. I'd appreciate some opinions from both sides. Thank you.

I was in a museum. I was wandering around and everywhere I went I would find heart shaped stones. They were all different. I remember one was half pink and half stone like. That particular stone was sitting on a bench. Next to the ston on the bench was a mans head. The guys head could look around and seemed alive but he didn't have a body. On top of his head was a ringing phone and I answered it. The person on the line was somebody very close to me and kept saying "I'm so sorry about 1947" this person was hysterically upset and crying because they were sorry about something in 1947. I would find other phones to pick up at other places in the dream and every time I answered the phone it would be the same thing. The biggest part of the dream was me standing in the middle of a room with 3 triangular pillars that were standing at the points of a triangle. I had a staff and all I had to do was put it in this hole and I would know everything I ever wanted to know. But I didn't do it.

If i feel down about something, could it be that God is saying it's not ment to be, or is it most likely that i'm just anxious and not trusting God? I need a good answer from a Christian perspective. Thanks

Really I'm just looking for options to grow and expand. If it is something you think needs a pre-established knowledge base, how about an intro book. Just a curious guy here.
If you want to include a brief synopsis or summary, please(but give plenty of room for my own personal interpretation)
Oh yes, any good science related books that also have good explanations for practical approaches to daily life.(sounds vague but anything really)
..even philosophy..
I appreciate any help
