Jesus is not the son of anyone, except in the human sense. He is God. Joseph was not his father. God is not his father either. The fact that they refer to themselves as Father and Son are terms given to US to help us understand their various roles as God.
Don't you have a kind side, an evil side, and a lazy side to your personality? The way you present these sides can, occasionally, make you look like different people altogether. Well, God is one God with three persons. Each one is totally God and has all the knowledge and power of God, however, each person has a primary role that he fulfills as God. Jesus is the son in the sense that he is under the command of the father. He will do nothing of himself although he has the power to do anything.
Don't think that I, as a human being, can explain God. God is beyond human comprehension. However, I pray, that God is helping me to say the right thing. I hope you understand.
rac sounds like he is either Mormon or Jehovah's Witness. Neither group accepts that Jesus was God. Each group, while it uses the Bible, either have their own book, which they prefer, or another translation of the Bible that have the unacceptable parts changed or edited out. These groups do no speak for mainline or conservative, traditional Christians. Know where your information is coming from before you make decisions concerning the truth.

You are a blasphemous person.
The problem here is that most Christians don't understand the true nature of God and Christ. Heavenly Father, God, or Elohim, is the Eternal Father. He is the spiritual father of all of us, Christ being His firstborn in the spirit. Christ was also His only begotten son in the flesh. They are two distinct and separate individuals with separate bodies of flesh and bone. The third person is known as the Holy Ghost and does not have a physical body in order to be able to extend his spiritual influence to all of us. Therefore, when Christ was baptized, all three beings were present. The son was in the water being baptized, the Father was speaking from heaven declaring Christ as His son, and the Holy Ghost was present, represented by the dove. Likewise, on the mount of transfiguration, Christ was present with Moses and Elijah while the Father spoke from above declaring the divine sonship of Jesus.
On the extended note, we call Christ father sometimes because as we follow Him, we become His sons and daughters in the gospel. He is the Father of our salvation. Nevertheless, we still pray to God, Christ's Father and our Father, His God and our God.

That's not so far-fetched:
I'm My Own Grandpa
Lyrics and music: Dwight Latham, Moe Jaffe
Played by Jerry Garcia with David Grisman
Oh, many, many years ago
When I was twenty-three
I was married to a widow
Who was pretty as can be
This widow had a grown-up daughter
Who had hair of red
My father fell in love with her
And soon the two were wed
This made my dad my son-in-law
And changed my very life
For my daughter was my mother
'Cause she was my father's wife
To complicate the matter
Though it really brought me joy
I soon became the father
Of a bouncing baby boy
This little baby then became
A brother-in-law to Dad
And so became my uncle
Though it made me very sad
For if he was my uncle
Then that also made him brother
Of the widow's grown-up daughter
Who of course is my step-mother
Chorus
I'm my own grandpa
I'm my own grandpa
It sounds funny I know
But it really is so
Oh, I'm my own grandpa
My father's wife then had a son
Who kept them on the run
And he became my grandchild
For he was my daughter's son
My wife is now my mother's mother
And it makes me blue
Because although she is my wife
She's my grandmother too
Now if my wife is my grandmother
Then I am her grandchild
And every time I think of it
It nearly drives me wild
For now I have become
The strangest case you ever saw
As the husband of my grandma
I am my own grandpa
[chorus]

Jesus was the son of God. Yes
God the Father was a separate being.
A freguentlyused term translated god, was the Hebrew word, Elohiym (spelling?). That Hebrew word is plural, not singular.

Jesus is not God, he is the son of God. He is the Messiah. The New Testament tells of his life the Bible teaches of his Fathers promises and laws which he was born to fulfill! By the way I don't appreciate the lanquage!

Many Christians are confused about this. For one thing, Jesus NEVER claimed to be God. This was decided by the Council of Nicea centuries after his death.

God is three persons, the Father, Son, And Holy Spirit. They are three seperat persons just like me, my brother, and you are three diffrent people. Yet they are one person like the president. All things are posible with God. Our Mind's can not comprehend the greatness of God until we have died and gone to Heaven. Until then you just have to believe.

Wow that's mean...but you do make a good point. I'm sure Christians will blindly just argue that he and the Father are one, so there's no point for them to think.

If you're going to be blasphemous, at least be intelligent about it. Like me.
Jesus is the only begotten son of God. He is not God Himself.
And how did you manage to get an f-bomb in there - I can't even get it to let me say "***".
Edit: See???
