god is supposed to be omnipotent, omnipresent and omnicient, so why did he have to sacrifice himself (his son-triune deity right!) to himself in order to correct a mistake (original sin) that he, himself made (he created man and would have forseen original sin).

Doesn't add up does it?

Adam and Eve had free choice. Once they sinned, they, and all humans to come, were sinners. Remember, Satan was once an angel in Heaven, who called other angels to join him and try to be more powerful than God. Thus began good and evil.
To pay for the sins of Adam and Eve, Jesus died on the cross. Jesus was the only "perfect" human who ever lived, thus his sacrifice paid for the sins of the humans who choose to believe the Bible and follow his word.

Does it add up? Oh, yes, it does. Adam and Eve made the choice, Jesus paid the price. WHAT a price God and his son paid.. for sinners like us.
I thank God and Jesus for loving us SO very much.
One day, we can all ask God any questions we don't understand fully. For now, it is by Faith that I follow his word.

Doesn't add up even a little bit. I used to believe in everything in the bible until I realized how messed up reality would be if the stories in it are true. Because if they are, then we HAD to have been made by God for one purpose: Entertainment.

This is a perfect being (omni-everything) as you said, so he created all possibilities and all ideas. We sinned because he made it possible for us to sin, He even defined what sin and evil is, and KNEW a billion years before he made us exactly what we were going to do, but made us anyway. If you follow these ideas to their logical conclusion... then God is no better than a bored kid who decided to buy an ant farm and torment them for some entertainment.

Good thing I don't believe in any of that sh** anymore.

if you read in the bible in revelations, that God did forsee sin, but he has to give the people the choice to return to his presence or not. he can't force everyone to do good. Other wise he would cease to be God. That is why He sent his Son the perfect man, to sacrifice for our sins. If we choose we can partake of the sacrafice of Jesus and repent of our sins and become clean again and return to God. How would you like it if there was no other choice that you hada to do what you were told. Wouldn't be a fun place would it?

Yea...I had 'stupid' questions too when I was in a Bible study group. No one had any good answers. If you ask me, it doesn't make sense because it is man-made. All religions are man-made. People just want to feel better about life so they lie to themselves (despite the fact that we are reasonable beings and that we've been through the Enlightenment period). I don't believe in anything supernatural and that includes a lot of stuff that people believe Jesus did. oh well.

Original sin was God's mistake? No it wasn't! It was ours.

I know that some people will go to great stretches to absolve themselves of any responsibility for their actions -- but blaming God for our own sins (original or otherwise) is ridiculous, no offense.

Not even Adam and Eve copped that attitude.

first of each and every of the Flood tale in the Bible is barely a delusion. it relatively is an evidence as to why there are rainbows. Secondly, one does not desire Jesus to bypass to heaven. it is immaterial in case you have confidence that Jesus is one's savior. there's a topic pronounced as, time-honored Salvation and it skill that all and sundry human beings would be going to Heaven, no longer purely Christians. Thirdly, in case you have a relationship with God he show you how to comprehend lies and different issues. those are planned. the way around those issues is thru forgiving God. do no longer take the Bible so actually. very few of the thoughts in the Bible are the literal certainty. they are non secular thoughts with a non secular which skill.

It wasn't for the mistake God made but for the crimes of man against God.

How can one understand what is not understandable, believe in what is unbelievable. It takes faith, without faith no one could ever make since of it. Man can not understand the ways of God.

Faith is the eveidence of things not seen, how can that be explained?

Free will was given to man.
God does not make mistakes. His son gave his life to make up for your sins. That is how much God loves
God is LOVE.

So basically you are arguing that God doesn't exist because he didn't do things exactly as you would have?

On the other hand, pershaps if you were omniscient, omnipotent and eternal, you'd see things differently from the way you see them now.
