If i feel down about something, could it be that God is saying it's not ment to be, or is it most likely that i'm just anxious and not trusting God? I need a good answer from a Christian perspective. Thanks

God can speak to us when we are open to hear His Word. He sometimes comes to us in the person of a friend or family member. We have to be ready because we don't know when He will call.

oooh, good question. I think yes, God often answers our prayers through our feelings. I'm thinking of Galations 5, where it talks about the fruits of the spirit being peace, love, etc. (sorry you'll have to look up the scripture for the exact wording).

When I've been in your position and trying to figure out if they were my own feelings, or feelings from God, I would make a decision and say a prayer asking Him very directly if my decision was right. I would try to stay still, and quiet for while after that prayer and pay attention to my feelings. I know when I have a thought and I feel peaceful, warm in my heart, clear in my mind, I know that my decision is right. If I feel confused, or still stressed, I would know that my decision was wrong.

Hope that helps a bit.

You have to really sit down and pray about it and ask God, their have been many times where i didnt know if it was God speakn to me or if it was just me.

You really have to pray to God, though most people will pray but will forget to Listen after you pray listen to God. He will answer and try to think of what Jesus's princibles and rules are, if what you are thinking is against or differnt from Gods rule's than its not God because God is the same yesterday, today and tommorow and he will not change. Something else i noticed is that you are very conserd on if its God or if its just you, and thats a very good thing because God likes when his childern are curious about him and his rules.

Remeber Jesus will never abandon you so stay strong and if it is still preasuring ask God to help you.

God speaks through impressions, events, and thoughts. God helps us to discern right from wrong through our consciences (1 Timothy 1:5; 1 Peter 3:16). God is in the process of conforming our minds to think His thoughts (Romans 12:2). God allows events to occur in our lives to direct us, change us, and help us to grow spiritually (James 1:2-5; Hebrews 12:5-11). 1 Peter 1:6-7 reminds us, “In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith – of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire – may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.”

It may not be so much that you feel down, but more concerned. When you are concerned, you tend to examine things a little closer. God said, when a man thinks about building a house, does he not sit down and consider the materials and the cost?

Pray about it, that God's will is done.
Be sure you are not telling God how you want Him to answer.

God speaks through everything that we do. But the devil also tries to have his way unexpectedly. If your feeling down, don't think that it is always God telling you no. I've learned that God answers are better than our prayers. So think about that. Always keep a smile on your face when things aren't going your way cause God smiles on us everyday.

Emotions are notoriously unreliable. Something as simple as the sun not shining brightly can make your mood go up or down. Enjoy the good ones, get through the bad ones, and don't rely upon emotions in deciding a course of action.

I know a girl who used to see Jesus Christ in her prayers after her father expired. Many people do feel that God does speak to you through emotions and feelings and i do believe this too. I just close my eyes when i feel down and pray hard and when its over i feel that what God did was for my benefit.

In the bible David and Joshua dont lose in any battle because they ask always His guidance in anything they do. God talk through emotions and feelings but be sure it comes from God. The devil is a spirit too, dont be deceived. Gods doings always constructive it uplift people, satan always for destruction.
