Look, I am a devout Christian, I love Jesus with every fiber in me. But this kind of preaching that you are engaging in, does not win souls, it chases people away from possible learning a little something and wanting to learn more.

Do you know that your need to spread your faith is really a thin cover for needing to verify it by getting other peopel to agree with you? Do you know how arrogant all religions sound when they make statements that are absolute about a book that can't even prove itself accurate by any means at all?

I'm sorry if this sounds harsh, but if you must preach to people in a public place, then don't always expect people to take it without questioning you. I do not come to your home and preach what I believe, but you feel it's alright to do that to others via the internet.

I know, that's what every Christian that pesters me outside of the store tell me. He did not die for me plain and simple, he is not the Messiah because he did not fulfill the requirements of the Messiah.

The true Messiah will be related father to son to King David and restore his line. Jesus' bloodline disqualifies him from even being the Messiah...His father had to be a blood descendant of King David, not the mother.

Also the Messiah will live long and have children who will restore the kingship of King David

HE will be a regular human being who will be anointed by G-d.

He will restore Israel...and bring all Jews back to the promised land...yet after Jesus dies, Jews were displaced from their home in Israel.

There are other things that disqualify him.

Sorry to tell you the news...I wouldn't have said anything but you started it with this type of preachy question.

No. As a rabbi and a wise man Jesus might have *lived* for you in a very indirect sense, but he didn't "die" for any reason except (apparently) that he was executed for rousing the ire of the Roman government. He might have been a martyr for his beliefs, but so were many, many others of his time. If you find value in whatever truths remain of his teachings, honoring that is the best way of honoring him.

No I don't know that, and neither do you. Jesus lived 2,000 years ago. I wasn't there to see him preach or get crucified, and neither was anyone else alive today (except maybe the wandering jew). You are basing your entire world view on words in a book.

>>>Do you know that Jesus loves you and died for you?<<<

Yes. It took me till age 37 to really warm up to that concept. But better late than never.

No.
I prefer the real world to an outdated set of rules written by bronze-age sheperds.
But hey if you prefer ignorance and blindly following an imaginary sky-pixie, knock yourself out. Preferably with a brick...
